It’s always exciting when a new store comes to town, especially when it happens to be right down the street! When I heard through the grapevine that Margaret O’Leary was opening a store right in Lincoln Park, I was excited to see this San Francisco based designers amazing pieces and gorgeous knit-wear. Even though it’s the peak of summer, this gal can never turn down a gorgeous cashmere sweater 😉
The moment I walked in, I knew this store was going to be good. The simple but sophisticated decor screams San Fran chic, with casual, chic pieces that are lust-worthy no matter the season. Margaret’s pieces ranged from linen light weight tops to the softest cashmere coats you’ve ever seen {and the most beautiful I might add too!} I was smitten with everything, and left with the most gorgeous cashmere sweater in tow – because a gal can never have too many sweaters, right?
Take a little virtual tour of the gorgeous store below – and if you happen to be in Chicago, make sure to stop by this Saturday for the Margaret O’Leary Chicago opening! I’ll be there with a few of my favorite blogging friends enjoying wine, light bites and the company of Margaret O’Leary herself {how lovely is that?} Make sure to swing by the 15th from 4 – 8 PM to say hi! And can we take a quick moment to talk about my new favorite sweater below? Besides officially being the softest sweater I now own, it’s surprisingly warm and light-weight {behold the power of cashmere!} I love that Margaret makes pieces with real women’s bodies in mind. The silhouettes are flattering on everyone, and the longer back makes it perfect to pair with jeans or leggings {like the leather ones I’m rocking below!} Plus, the added ribbing details to the sleeves gives the sweater a unique and special quality – and one that I haven’t seen on any other sweater I’ve ever shopped for!Sweater c/o Margaret O’Leary {See their fall line!} // Madewell Heels // Leather Leggings {Similar & under $20!} // Purse c/o Vera Bradley // Necklace c/o Meijer // Earrings c/o Vera Bradley {Similar options} If you’re in town this Saturday, make sure to stop by and say hello! I know you’d love to check out these pieces for yourself, and of course stock up for fall.
And speaking of, It’s officially official, but I may be sorta, kinda, a little excited for fall. Maybe it’s the sweater loving Midwestern girl in me – but getting to wear this sweater made me kinda excited. Although, I could survive a few more months of summer too 😉 xx
That boutique looks adorable! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I’ll have to stop by sometime!
