Peplum Top {similar} // Joe’s Jeans // Tory Burch Purse // Old Navy Shoes // Happiness Boutique Necklace // J.Crew Bracelet // Ellison Sunglasses For many reasons, Sunday is my favorite day of the week.
While Saturday is usually filled with running around Chicago, Sunday is laid back, chill and means I stay pretty close to home in Lincoln Park. And for those of you who haven’t experienced the magic of Lincoln Park, it’s a pretty special place. From the best coffee shops to the best bakeries around {Sweet Mandy B’s and Floriole, you own my soul}, it’s perfect for taking life a little easy before the work week comes back in full force. And the cherry on top? It’s extra gorgeous in the summertime.
Most Sundays include starting the day with a large caramel latte, rocking my favorite pair of skinny jeans, blogging all afternoon with the windows open and catching up on my newest guilty pleasure, The Good Wife {I’m ashamed, don’t judge me too harshly…} It’s lazy, productive and SO needed after an exhausting week of work. Sometimes you just need a solid day to play catchup while attempting to mentally prepare for the week ahead…if that’s even possible…. I wish all days were as magical as Sunday, but it at least gives me something to look forward to every week. Any favorite Sunday traditions you can’t live without? I’d love to get the 411!
I adore that lave top you have on! I know it’s supposed to be a Sunday outfit, but I would happily wear that to work today.
Saturday and Sunday are usually both running around days for us, but every once in a while we get a chilled out Sunday. Usually either my husband or I will make pancakes, french toast or bacon and eggs, and a big fresh pot of coffee. Sometimes I’ll turn things up a notch and make poached eggs on toast with cheese sauce (SO GOOD). Often times we don’t finish eating until close to noon, so it’s more of a brunch at home than it is actual breakfast. Then if it’s not blogging or working on a project, you can usually find me reading a book while our dog tries frantically to lick my face for attention, or watching something on NetFlix with my husband.
That top is great ! Love the color, the detail, everything!! It looks fabulous on you 🙂

That top is to die for! And I am a not-so-secret admirer of The Good Wife too, so glad it’s not just me and a bunch of people my mother’s age 🙂
