Tied in A Bow

charmingly-styled-18-of-50Club Monaco Bow Sweater // Faux-Leather Leggings {these are under $30!} // Old Navy Flats // Valentino Purse {sold out, but obsessed with this one and this more affordable version from Cuyana!} // Kendra Scott Necklace

Happy Monday, friends! I am slowly recovering from an extra fun weekend this morning with an extra large latte in hand. Monday mornings, am I right?

The past few weekends have been so much fun, and I’ve been focusing on spending a little more time enjoying them rather than just working through the weekends 😉 My grandpa stopped by my work for Bring Your Parents to Work day on Friday {it was a complete blast – more later in the week!}, and then Tom came back to Chicago after a whirlwind trip to 3 states for work last week, which resulted in an epic celebratory dinner at Duck Duck Goat on Saturday – wheeee! It was so good, but I’m pretty sure that I’m still full from two nights ago…that’s how much we ate! On Sunday I met Ashley for coffee at Floriole, one of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops, swung by Danielle’s birthday party and rounded out the night by watching the Packer Game, with dinner by chef Tom. All in all, it was a pretty amazing weekend, and I’m very ready for a fun round two in t-minus 5 days! Too early to start the countdown? I think not 😉

charmingly-styled-2-of-50charmingly-styled-7-of-50Okay, now on to other exciting things – aka, this sweater from Club Monaco I’ve been obsessed with for the last few months! I first spotted it online and fell head over heels in love, and I knew it was going to be my one big purchase of the fall. Luckily for me, I have a friend who knows someone who works at Club Monaco corporate, so I snagged a little employee discount to make it an affordable splurge this year – shhhh…we’ll keep that on the DL, right? 😉

It’s the perfect piece to dress up a simple pair of jeans, or even some leather pants like the faux pair from Aritzia I bought last year around this time. And the delicate bow details make it perfectly girly and flirty without being too over the top, which I can always be a fan of. I’ll be wearing this pretty top on repeat to work, date night or cocktails with my girlfriends in the next few months. Plus it’s one of the only comfy cashmere sweaters I own, so I’ll be rocking this once the weather starts to get even chillier in Chicago. Now I actually have something to look forward to when it gets cold!charmingly-styled-21-of-50charmingly-styled-11-of-50charmingly-styled-17-of-50 charmingly-styled-8-of-50charmingly-styled-12-of-50charmingly-styled-20-of-50 charmingly-styled-25-of-50 charmingly-styled-28-of-50In other news, has anyone else been gravitating to all black in their wardrobe recently? I don’t know if I’m getting prepped for fall/winter, but for some reason I need all black everything in my life right now. I picked up these lace up flats from Old Navy {they’re under $30 and surprisingly comfortable!} and I’ve been wearing them almost every day. I’m even thinking of getting a back up pair when they get too scuffed up because I love them so much! Excessive? Probably – but when you find something you love, you might as well buy a few of them, right? charmingly-styled-26-of-50Hope you’re all looking forward to another epic week ahead! A special thanks to Lauren for taking these photos for me – you’re the best girlfriend!

Swooning over the bows on the back of that sweater — I can’t seem to get enough of them this fall! Love the lace-up flats with the leather leggings too, such a classic fall combination!
