Rebecca Minkoff Leather Jacket // Margaret O’Leary Fall Sweater Dress (c/o) {similar} // Marc Fisher Yale Booties (c/o) // Madewell Necklace // Valentino Purse {shop similar here and here}
Oh Monday, you’re back so soon! I feel like it was only Friday afternoon a blink ago, and now the week is already back at it. And judging from how late I went to bed last night {presidential debate AND the Packer game? So much action all in one evening} I have a feeling today is going to be a real doozie. Thank goodness for lattes though, right? I think today might be a 2 latte day for me.
But I can’t complain too much because this weekend was a pretty good one. Between a delicious dinner at Far Rice in Logan Square {Chicagoans, have you been? It’s so good!}, to a few too many ciders at Derby on Saturday night, to the most beautiful fall weather a gal could ask for – this weekend was one for the books. And I’m extra excited because this week is going to be a short one since I’m heading to Florida on Thursday morning for a long weekend of relaxing and celebrating Tom’s friends getting married! Being a plus one definitely has it’s perks and hopefully the weather will cooperate so I can enjoy the weekend beachside. Since it finally started to feel like fall, I finally busted out this comfy dress I picked up from Margaret O’Leary a few weeks back. I’ve been a long time fan of the brand, and I love their luxe knits and cashmere sweaters for the colder fall and winter months. They have the cutest store on Armitage in Chicago right down the street from me, and I always love stopping in to try on their comfy sweaters, knits and jackets. While looking through their fall look book, this fall sweater dress immediately caught my eye, and I love how it’s modest enough to wear for work, but also has some slide slits that makes it perfect for date night too! And to be totally honest, I might have worn this outfit for most of the weekend – it was jut so comfortable that I couldn’t bring myself to change out of it {on Sunday Tom finally had to ask me if I was planning to wear anything else that weekend, oops!} It’s so comfy, crazy flattering, and I love that it has long sleeves to pop out from under moto jackets or sweaters on a chilly night. How can you blame me for being an outfit repeater a few times in a row?!
I love pairing this dress with my leather jacket {a Rebecca Minkoff super steal from Nordstrom Rack last year!} and these new pointy booties from Marc Fisher and my favorite Valentino purse. It always seems like a good idea to rock some neutrals during the fall, and I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this on repeat until it officially becomes winter jacket season…hopefully we at least have a few months before that happens 😉 Now that the weather is officially fall-like, I’ve been getting into serious fall mode. From busting out pumpkin candles, apple cider donuts {seriously, I can’t stop eating them…}, to whipping up some warm bourbon cocktails, I’m officially in the fall spirit. I even had my first pumpkin spice latte of the season, which served as my yearly reminder that I’m actually not a huge fan of PSLs, haha.
The best part of the season is definitely bringing out my favorite fall clothes and sweaters I had tucked away for the warmer months, who knew I had so many awesome sweaters hiding in my closet? I’m excited for them to make a comeback! I hope you all had a nice weekend and are easing into your Monday morning too 😉 Have any fun plans this week? Please share with the class! xx
I love that this outfit looks comfortable but also has a bit of edge to it – love the color palette, too! Lucky you headed to Florida at the end of the week!
Favorite mansion favorite mansion! Hehe… Missed you this weekend… LOVE this sweater… so jealous you’re going to FL… okay that’s all don’t forget about the little Larkins 😉
XOXO
