jeans // sweater {shop similar here} // shoes {on sale!} // necklace {sold out, but I love this one}
I have a confession to make: I’m really bad at shopping.
I know, I know – that probably makes me a terrible blogger, but for some reason, I can’t quite figure it out. I have the patience of a 5 year old, paired with an inability to ever know my real size {am I a 0? Or a 6?} – which makes for quite the shopping fail combination. In truth, I usually last about 15 minutes, find one thing that fits and then buy it in a bunch of colors to make life easier. And don’t even get me started on online shopping – that’s just straight up wizardry. Let’s just say I send quite a few things back and forth before I finally, defeatedly give up.
But every once in awhile, shopping magic happens and I find something I immediately love. Maybe “love at first sight” is a little much when talking about a sweater, but there’s definitely a part of me that felt that way {and was immediately smitten.} I found this sweater at J.Crew last month and immediately knew it was “the one.” Of course, no love story ever comes easy, and my new love only seemed to come in XX, but, through pure stealth and eagle eyes, I found a mannequin in the back of the store who happened to be rocking a size S. Needless to say, I very unashamedly stole it off her back – oops! Now were in love, and I wear him {her?} at least once a week. Hey, a good sweater is hard to find – so I’m going to let my love be known to the world 😉
Thanks to Emily for the photos!
I feel the same way about shopping. I have the stamina of a two year old when I get into a store. I normally go for something specific and I get in and get out! This sweater is a winner on you 😉
I seriously always have to take clothes off the in-store mannequins to find my size – its become an inside joke between my mom and I. Great sweater – it really is so versatile and will go with anything!
haha I'm the same way! sizes range so much in different stores that I end up having to try on 3 different sizes in the dressing room that only allows 6 items total. I'm a pain in the ass
I've been to a few stores that don't allow you to take clothes off their mannequins, and if you do, they refuse to sell them to you. I just don't understand their reasoning! You got lucky with this cute sweater, though – good timing for St. Patrick's Day!
My least favorite thing to shop for is jeans — I typically just guess my size and order them online then I feel like I have to like them! I know this is goofy and makes no sense but I just can't fight the fitting room trying them on! Sounds like you've found a pretty good method to shopping because you always have great style girlfriend! 🙂
OH MY GOODNESS. Such cuteness! I love the new sweater, and I adore these photos! You are so beautiful. I MISS YOU! 🙂
xoxo!
