J.Crew Gingham Top // Skinny Jeans {similar} // Heels {similar} // Kendra Scott Necklace // Vera Bradley Purse {I love this one and this one too!}

It seems like every month, there’s a new pattern or color or style that I can’t get enough of – and for some reason, gingham is my latest obsession for summer. In the span of a week, I accidentally bought essentially the same shirt without even realizing it, which shows that a) I clearly should check my inventory before I’m left unattended with my wallet at J.Crew and b) I definitely have a gingham problem this season. No one’s ever complained of having too many shirts, right? Asking for a friend…

But in all seriousness, I’m planning on rocking this shirt on repeat all season – from BBQ’s to work, to weekend adventures around Chicago. It first made its debut at work last week, and Katie and I took a few snaps around the West Loop before the day started. Since no morning is complete without coffee, we made sure to make the pilgrimage to SoHo house to get a latte at The Allis, one of my favorite coffee hangouts in the West Loop. I don’t know what they put in their lattes but it’s essentially rocket fuel, which is exactly what you need on a early Monday morning before work. It doesn’t hurt that it has an adorable patio that’s perfect for easing into your day, or snapping a few outfit pictures before a long day at the office!  Since I pretty much live in skinny jeans {even in the summer}, I’m always looking for a dressed up top to make jeans slightly more work appropriate {yay working in advertising!}. Paired with heels, this totally passes the work test, right? 😉

In other news – happy Monday! I don’t know how happy it is for you, but I’m at least excited that it’s supposed to be beautiful most of the week – and 90 degrees today! I’m planning on enjoying the weather between long days at the office and fearing up for a trip back to Madison this weekend in time for Father’s Day.
