Making Spring a Thing

I am fully aware that it’s super lame to talk about the weather – but after the last few days in Chicago I would just like to say…”WTF MIDWEST?!? You’re seriously killing me.” I realize that’s a bit dramatic, but it’s straight up crazy town here in Chicago these days.

For those of you who were smart enough to move some place warm {or stay some place warm!}, I’ll fill you in on the latest news from Chicago. In a nutshell the weather was nice, then it rained, then it snowed this weekend every 10 minutes, and now it’s kinda nice again? The groundhog must have been a little tipsy when he predicted an early spring {who can blame him, he’s got kinda a crap job 364 days of the year…} because he seems real off these days. I’m just crossing my fingers that the nice weather continues because all us Midwesterners really deserve some sunshine after the last few grey months.Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (26 of 55) Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (25 of 55)Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (23 of 55)  On one of the rare sunny-ish days last week, I met up with Kelly to get some work done and attempt to enjoy the weather. Even though it’s completely irrational, I decided I wanted to wear a few of my favorite new and classic spring pieces despite the 45 degree temps because honestly, how many more coat pictures can I possibly take this spring? You’re bored of them, I’m bored of them – so let’s just skip to the part where it’s sunny and beautiful and we all get to bust out short sleeves! I’m starting the trend, so you should too 😉

I found this cute J.Crew shirt a few weeks ago and completely caved on my solemn oath to stop shopping this month – I tried to resist the urge, but the shirt was too strong. And how can you blame me when it literally has everything you could ever want in a spring shirt – bell sleeves that are borderline ridiculous {but so fun!}, stripes and a thick enough material that you can kinda justify buying it during this awkward in between weather. I’ve been wearing it on repeat tucked into my favorite skinny jeans {even white ones!} and adding a pair of heels when I’m out with girlfriends for after-work cocktails or weekend adventures. Now I just need spring to really come so I can wear it every day {kidding! Maybe!} 😉 Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (3 of 55)Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (21 of 55) Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (24 of 55)Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (20 of 55) Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (19 of 55) Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (13 of 55)Jergens-Charmingly-Styled (5 of 55)I hope you’re all doing your best to will spring weather along with me! Let’s make short sleeves, sandals and patio season a thing again because we definitely all deserve it  😉 xx

I talked to Chicago – he told me that he’d work to be better boyfriend if you moved here 😉
