Chicago Charms: Brunch at Smack Shack

Wandeleur-Yoga (21 of 77) Happy freaking Friday, friends!

If there’s one thing I love about the weekend {besides basically everything about the weekend…} it’s brunch in Chicago. Once or sometimes twice a week, I get to indulge in an epic breakfast, full of Eggs Benedicts, gigantic stacks of pancakes, a healthy amount of donuts {three, if you must ask} and a few mimosas to wash it all down. But every once in awhile I like to mix up my brunch routine, which is why I headed to Smack Shack in the West Loop a few weeks back to try out their new brunch menu!Wandeleur-Yoga (22 of 77) Smack Shack is known for their seriously amazing seafood menu, and they specialize in what I think are the best lobster rolls in Chicago {and believe me, this girl takes her lobster rolls very seriously!} My boyfriend and I swung by a few weekends back to give their new brunch menu a try, full of lobster Benedicts, lobster scrambled eggs, and other French Quarter inspired dishes. Of course, we definitely went for a few more traditional items on the menu that are also served for brunch, like their incredible lobster roll and oysters {those I didn’t eat, but my boyfriend swears they were delicious!} Wandeleur-Yoga (25 of 77) Wandeleur-Yoga (26 of 77) Wandeleur-Yoga (28 of 77) Wandeleur-Yoga (29 of 77) I mean, as far as breakfast goes – this place is seriously legit. How good does that egg, toast, bacon and potato combo look?Wandeleur-Yoga (31 of 77) And of course, you can’t go wrong with a lobster roll! I’ve tried so many around Chicago, and this place hands down is my favorite. I’ve already gone back to order it for lunch a few times…Wandeleur-Yoga (33 of 77)In other news, what’s on the docket this weekend? I’m excited to spend the weekend exploring Chicago with my main squeeze and catch up with some girlfriends over brunch tomorrow {which is always needed after a long week, right?} Hope you find plenty of time for brunching, boozing and relaxing a little this weekend too! xx
