You can rock comfy pjs and pull it off as a total fashion statement – it’s pretty much the best time of the year. And to sweeten the deal, you can basically wear PJs to work, no questions asked which makes for the coziest, comfiest days.

Before I worked at my agency in Chicago, I often had to dress up for work – a reality most people have to face who rock a 9-5. And while it doesn’t seem like that big a deal, it totally messed with my vibe at work. I’m pretty laid back {when I’m not super stressed!}, and easygoing, so dressing in pencil skirts and blazers felt like they were basically trapping me in a polyester prison. Seriously, I don’t know how people do it – but it’s not for me, friends.

Fast forward a couple of years to living in Chicago, and my work-wear attire has done a 180. In a creative field, people are pretty laid back, which gives you the perfect excuse to get a little creative with your workwear too. Some people wear Hawaiian t-shirts, others wear mini-skirts, I for the most part rock the oversized sweater and skinny jeans combo. And believe me, it makes a big difference when it comes to waking up for work. While I used to dread getting dressed, it’s finally a little more exciting again 🙂But in other news, let’s talk about this oversized sweater from Anthropologie. I love that the quarter-sleeves for the not so freezing days ahead, and that it’s long enough to pair with leggings or skinny jeans without being too revealing. As a #1 fan of stripes, this panel version is a little different than anything else my closet holds, so I’m sure to grab for it over and over, and over and over again 😉
