j.crew sweater {on sale!} // j.crew necklace {similar on sale!} // pants // shoes c/o keds // zara bag
I used to joke that my spirit animal was a magpie because I could always find the sparkliest thing in the room – and truth be told, I probably wasn’t that far off. Every time I walk into a store, I make a b-line for the sparkliest, prettiest, seizure inducing piece of clothing I can find and immediately snag it up. But honestly, who can blame me? I’m a firm believer that sparkles always make you feel better – so more sparkles for all I say.
And mixed with some more neutral pieces, I like to think I don’t totally look like a disco ball who took a vacation from the club. This zipper sweater is the perfect piece to stay cozy, and my new Zara bag is on heavy rotation {maybe because I like to think it’s a knock off of this $500 bag!}. Oh, and these amazing Keds X Kate Spade tennis shoes obviously don’t help the disco ball situation – but sometimes you just can’t care – they’re just that good {and they come in 5 colors, sparkle lovers rejoyce!}. See, sparkles get me excited – I really just can’t help myself.
In other news, these killer pants came from one of my all time favorite Chicago boutiques – Art Effect! My homegirl Emily of Isn’t That Charming and I are co-hosting an event there for the Lincoln Park merchants association’s Holiday Shop Hop this upcoming Thursday, December 4th from 5 – 8 PM. There will be bites, drinks, and a few of our favorite holiday picks to boot! Come join us at 934 W. Armitage and we can get our shop on together.
And, best of all, there’s going to be a ton of other bloggers around the ‘hood to help you get your holiday shopping done too! Check out the bloggers and shops that they’ll be partying in all night long…or at least until 8 PM π

A very special thanks to the lovely Kelly Larkin for the photos. Isn’t she the best?
Those pants, I'm obsessed. Maybe we're magpie sisters like that.
You look so cute here, Maya! Love the casual vibe you've put on a sequined outfit. That's like 400-level outfitting, well done, pal. π

The more sparkle, the better! I wish I could pull this off as well as you do. Maybe I should start with the shoes and work my way up ;)…. #blingbling

I LOVE the sparkle! Very cute.
Oh my goodness, these pants are awesome. How fun! I love that you kept the rest of the outfit simple. The pants really have a chance to stand out, but not overwhelm!
