home is where the heart is.

There’s just something completely and inexplicably magical about coming home after being away for a long time. It’s the feeling you get when you drive past the city limits sign that feels so good, and holds on until you’ve finally turned around to leave. You check out your old stompin’ grounds, see what’s new in the hood, and catch up with friends you meant to see months ago. And then if you’re really lucky, you even get the chance to meet new friends, which happened to me a few weeks back. Oh, and when your new friends happen to be incredible photographers, you totally just won the “new friends jackpot.” I know, I know – I can barely believe it myself. Feel free to come see me sometime and maybe my good luck will transfer over through osmosis, or something {you know, science and things…}
I first “met” husband and wife duo Stephen and Stephanie of Booth Photographics through Instagram. Sometimes you find people on Instagram and you totally feel like you know them – or at least know every cup of coffee they’ve consumed in the last few weeks {yep, I’m totally that person}, so meeting them for the first time when I was back in Madison was a no-brainer. They’re hilarious, love corny jokes, are big fans of fancy coffee, and are the most magical photographers of all time. They totally captured my essence, or at least how I image my essence to be on a really good day πŸ˜‰
Oh right, I totally just missed the whole “outfit” part of this post, oopsies! I was too busy talking about my new BFFs to notice. So tunics. Yeah, they’re a thing. And tunics + gladiator sandals = a reaaaally good thing, especially on hot summer days. Here are a few that I’d like to snag in my closet:
1: Nanette Lepore {$154} // 2: Tory Burch {$295}// 3: Tory Burch {$147.50} // 4: Splendid {$149} // 5: BB Dakokta {$60}  // 6: Velvet {$148}

    I love that you're originally from Madison! My husband and I lived there from May last year to January this year … we never really got to know the city that well since we were back and forth to Chicago for wedding planning, but it was still a neat place to live for a while. I'm so sad I missed you! Oh, and your outfit is great as always. Have a great weekend!
