Why, hello there! Today’s outfit post is brought to us by the letter “C”for “it’s still really freaking cold in Chicago.” Can you feel my disappointment from across your computer screen?! I’ve clearly gotten to that point where I can’t even pretend that spring’s around the corner anymore – whoopsies!
But, I promise not be a total debbie downer today because there’s really a lot to look forward to! For one, I found a few new goodies a few weeks back while exploring Chicago with Dani that are making the week much more bearable. For one, this shirt from Anthropologie is my new obsession – I had to use some serious self control to not buy one in every color. It’s silky soft and has enough personalty to elevate it from a simple basic to a statement piece. My #2 fave is this Madewell stunner I snagged on their Rush st. location. I lost my absolute favorite locket necklace a few weeks back {you may have seen it here, and here, and in basically every outfit post I’ve ever shared}, so I was excited to find something comparable that could maybe fill the void in my heart one day. TBD, but I think we’ve got ourselves a winner.
And also….drum roll please….. i actually did something with my hair!!! I know, I know, I barely recognized myself too. All credit has to go to the lovely Maritza of Beauty for Bloggers who hooked me up after her workshop last weekend. It was so fun meeting some new blogging friends & getting a little hair TLC too! If you’re in the area, keep your eyes peeled on her site for some fun workshops & tutorials soon!
Happy Monday {and Cinco de Mayo!}, ya’ll!
xx, Maya
Your hair looks so cute in these braids! I love that necklace too!
Hi pretty! Your hair looks so cute here–I'm dying to find a braid bar here in NYC, but I'm not sure if there is one!
Someone needs to teach me how to french braid my own hair- I suck at it. Yours looks so lovely!
Oh hi. No braid bars exist in Kansas and I must change this. Stat.
You look stunning in these photos! This post reminds me, my sister is supposed to teach me how to braid my hair…on it!
You're adorable; love this look on you.
I almost pulled the trigger on that Madewell necklace last week- it's soooo good! Love it!

I am loving this look and your hair! Hopefully it will get warmer in Chicago soon, but in the meantime you have a super cute leather jacket to wear 😉
Oh my gosh – I hear you about this weather girl! I am still wearing winter cardis and long-sleeves! But I have high hopes for Wed/Thurs this week!! 🙂 And, adorable outfit!
How cute are you! I love that side braid.
