adventure shirt c/o boathouse apparel // sweater // leggings {similar on sale} // bracelet {only $16}
Every good year starts with a few new resolutions, and I’ve decided that “adventure” is going to be the word of 2015.
I’m kicking off the year by jet setting to Mexico with a few of my favorite people {one of my best friends Aubrey and my super sweet family} and spending 2 weeks in Merida and Tulum. My family has this amazing tradition of getting out of the Midwest each Christmas to take some time to regroup, relax and spend some much needed quality time together. Obviously there will be lots of margaritas involved this time, and I definitely won’t be complaining. There have been so many highs and lows in the last few months, so a trip away is exactly what I need right now to feel a little more balanced.
Plus, the time away will make me extra excited to get back to Chicago to see some of my favorite people and get back into the blogging game for 2015 {ahem, can you tell I’ve been struggling lately? There aren’t enough hours in the day…}.
Other adventures for 2015 include knocking off a few bucket list items {specifically tacking a few things that scare me – more to come on that}, traveling to Europe with my family {finger crossed}, and fitting a whole lot more living into my days. I feel like I spent so much of this year waiting around for things, so 2015 is going to be the year of doing, saying “yes”, and having a lot more fun. Needless to say, I’m ready for 2015 to get here so I can kick 2014 to the curb π
I’ll be in and out the next few weeks while I’m in Mexico, but I’m excited to get back to catching up on blogging and life! Happy holidays if I happen to miss you, and enjoy some much deserved r&r! xx

Maya, you are SERIOUSLY adorable! Love this t-shirt and yay for new adventures! Mexico sounds like it is going to be an amazing time and it is always good to relax and regroup. I'm totally feeling the same way about 2015 — there was just a lot of blah this year and I'm ready to attack some new things and push myself outside of my comfort zone!
