I know I’ve said this over and over again, but I’m seriously in denial that the summer is almost over. I’m sure you’re in the same boat too {especially if you live in the Midwest like me!}, so at least we can all be in the same boat together 😉

The only good thing about the summer coming to a close is that I’ve finally been working on my epic summer bucket list that I {of course} forgot about earlier in the season. I feel like I always have such lofty goals at the beginning of the summer, but once my calendar starts filling up I find it harder to squeeze everything in. And now, it’s the end of August and I’m desperately trying to fit all the fun I can in before it gets too cold in Chicago {and we all hide inside for the next 6 or so months – aye!}This past weekend I adventured downtown to re-explore millennium park and spend some time at the Art Institute, one of my favorite places in the city. It’s not only incredible inside, but I love the gardens and sculptures that surround it, and it’s the perfect place to spend the day or explore on a date night in the city.

My go-to date night outfit these days has been this little white pom pom dress that was seriously on sale at ShopBop! While I used to be afraid to wear all white {mostly because I’m so uncoordinated that anything while almost immediately gets destroyed, whoops!}. I love that this little dress is super comfortable {and stretchy, yay!}, and it’s easy to pop on with a pair of heels and immediately feel a little fancy. Plus, it’s always nice to have a no-brainer dress that’s perfect for date night, a fancy event or even drinks after work with a few girlfriends.     What’s left on your summer bucket list, anything you’re hoping to check off this week?
