It’s FALL! It’s FALL! I know everyone and their mother is celebrating over a PSL right about now, but come on – I’ve got to get in on this action too! While there’s so many cliches that make fall a magical time, I’m most excited about getting my layering on during this awkward in-between summer/fall time {yes, I might be the only one – I’m well aware…}

Fall in Chicago is a pretty magical place. The air is crisper, the leaves are turning kinda sorta pretty, and people are still nice to one another before it becomes -25 degrees outside. There’s nothing better than walking around Lincoln Park with a latte in hand soaking up the last few weeks of sunshine with my guy and dressing appropriately for the part. And while I’m excited to skip out of the country for a week, I will miss the cozy, comforting feeling of fall in the city – but at least it will be there to return to! I’m packing a few of these necessities as I make my way to Portugal this Fri-yay, including my new Tory Burch tote I treated myself to a few weeks back. Because I can’t get enough stripes, I snagged this Madewell sale number with Portugal in mind since I’m officially justifying my purchases now knowing that I obviously need all new outfits for europe, right? Ehhhh, it’s a stretch for sure 😉 I’m especially excited to bring this Lexington jacket along with me since it’s perfect to use while transitioning between warm and cold fall days. Since I never really know what I’m getting myself into weather wise when I travel abroad, this coat is going to be my go-to throughout the trip! Wish me luck on my adventures, friends!
