charmingly styled home tour

M Lindsay PhotographyAfter a few years of living in my humble abode, I’m excited to finally give a tour of my little Lincoln Park apartment! I moved in a few years ago (on the coldest day in recent history) and it’s been a long process of making it my own little corner of the world.

When I had moved in, I had pretty much been living with old dorm room furniture and hand me downs from generous friends and family over the years. Now that I finally had a place to settle down, I decided it was high time I became an “adult” (or, as adult as my 25 year old self could be!) and buy big girl furniture. As I do, I tried to snag as much as I could on a budget, from my Pottery Barn Teen desk (much more affordable than those other options), to cheap Target gallery wall frames, to my own DIY paintings, – as much as I could was done on the cheap so I could invest in a few other pieces I’d been coveting. Together, I like to think my apartment is a good mixture of shabby chic, with pops of color in between for good measure 🙂 Take a little tour with these pretty photos from Neighborhooding {and check out the feature they shared a few weeks back here!M Lindsay PhotographyHow cute is that Pottery Barn Chicago pillow? One of the many sweet gifts from my momma! I’d love to see your home tour if you have a snaps to share! Send me a link, or leave one in the comments section so I can take a virtual tour too! xx

Special thanks to M Lindsay Photography for the photos!
