Alright friends – I have a confession to make: My summer dress game is not strong. I’m not sure if I can blame moving so many times in the last few years (or maybe a messy closet?), but for some reason I can’t track down my favorite summer dresses for the life of me. At first I resisted the urge to buy new ones, (I blame wishful thinking that they would miraculously return to me!), but I finally caved a few weeks ago when I made my way to Loft after pay day at work. I promised myself I was going to be good and just look – but after trying on a few killer pieces I knew they had to come home with me.

One casualty of my spontaneous shop-a-thon? Take a looksie at this gorgeous white shift dress I snagged from Loft on sale. Not only was my wallet a little more happy, but it’s the perfect dress for work with flats or exploring the city with a fresh pair of white kicks. The subtle banana leaf print makes it even more summery, and I’m dying to look for more excuses to wear it around Chicago this summer (date night, anyone?!)

The real stars of the show though are a few of my favorite accessories. I snagged this gorgeous jeweled necklace from Les Néréides at Block 37 and I instantly feel in love. It’s perfect as a mini statement necklace or as a layering piece with a few other dainty jewels. These ballet flats from Duo {swoon!} are the perfect french navy flat, complete with the most supple patent leather and pretty ribbon bows. And last {but certainly not least} is the Chloe pink purse I bought from ShopBop a few weeks back. It’s the perfect little pop of color for summer, and I love the pink paired with this all white dress. Clearly, I have a thing for accessories – no shame in that game!
