working girl style.

Remember when mental health days were a thing, way back in the day? They were those special days you would save for a rainy day when you just couldn’t take the everyday stress and craziness of work, or school, or whatever else was killing you slowly. And while I’m usually a gal who plays by the book, I took a little mental health day earlier this month after a few especially stressful months at work…and let me tell you, it was lovely.
Now, in true fashion, my day wasn’t totally work free,  in fact it was an entire day dedicated to other projects I’d been trying to get to on the weekends and late night on weeknights. I got together with the lovely Emily {and her little Gracie} and Blair, with a special appearance by the fox {below!} to work on projects and catch up on life. Needless to say, it was the perfect mix of work, fun and unbearable cuteness. If I ever run for president, my platform is going to be “more mental health days for all!” because they are seriously needed for any working gal!

On a mental health day – jeans are where they party’s at. I rocked my new favorite skinnies from J.Crew and a easy breezy tunic to keep my look casual and comfy. Paired with a killer pair of booties, I can kinda feel like a badass without sacrificing the comfort needed to seriously GSD.
In other news – have a very happy weekend friends! I hope it’s filled with fun, tasty treats, margaritas and lots of productivity 🙂 xx
