Good morning, friends! How are those New Year’s resolutions holding up? This year, I decided to give myself a little list of challenges to do throughout the year, rather than have a long list of resolutions/goals like I’ve done in the past. So far, I’m in the process of giving up sugar for a week, and it’s been quite the challenge (I’m basically craving chocolate 24/7…), but I’ll definitely be sure to share what I learned once I finally finish (and probably stuff my face with chocolate and sweet rolls…mmm!!!)
Anyways, I’m kicking off a monthly series sharing a few of my favorite finds! I realized that I pretty much only do guides when it’s the holidays, so I’m working on sharing more on a regular basis. I’m going to start with monthly and see if I can at least keep that up 😉
From wine to slides, below are a few of my favorite things this month that I’m indulging in! 1. Silk Camisole: Literally the perfect shirt to wear for a date night out (or let’s be real, a date night in!). I like to wear mine slightly tucked into a high waisted pair of jeans and a long cardigan for the winter.
2. Banana Bright Eye Cream: I heard magical things about this cream after reading an article about it on Hello Giggles, and I bought it before the New Year. So far, I love that it instantly brightens my eyes, and it’s perfect to wear before makeup (or makeup free days) right after I wake up.
3. Gold Rimmed Wine Glasses: Let’s be real, this girl isn’t giving up wine as a New Years resolution anytime soon, so might as well embrace it! I love these gold rimmed glasses that come in a set of 4 for under $40.
4. Evolution White Wine: Again, I drink a lot of white wine and my favorite is usually a Sauvignon Blanc, but I’ve been really loving this Evolution White blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris that is the perfect wine for dinner (under $15!) or for those wine-nights in with friends (or alone, let’s be real – I have a lot of wine nights in alone too :))
5. Madewell Loafers: I love the classic shape of these loafers, and the fact that they’re under $100! I’m planning to buy them in black and wear them at work when I change out of my snow boots from my wintery commute.
6. Madewell Tencel Skinny Jeans: I’m probably the last person in the world who’s discovered the magic of Madewell skinny jeans – but daaaaaaang are they amazing! I love the high waist and how stretchy the tencel version is (I like them more than the typical Madewell skinny jeans). I’m 5’7 and wear a tall since I like to stick them into my boots in the winter. I also went down two sizes from my usual because they stretch out a bit through the day and are definitely larger than usual. If you’re not 100% sure on your size, definitely order a few and wear them around the house for a little bit to figure out which one you should return.
7. Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Cream: I asked for this eye cream for Christmas and I love it so far! I’ve been using it for a few weeks now (primarily at night) and I love how thin but moisturizing it is. I have seen a little improvement around the wrinkles under my eyes, but I’m planning to keep using it and report back on the full results soon.
8. Good Genes Serum: I bought this a few months ago and brought it to Costa Rica (bad move…). After accidentally leaving my suitcase pocket unzipped, it fell on the floor and cracked into a million pieces after I had just bought it…talk about heartbreaking. Regardless, I immediately bought a new one because this serum is so good and instantly smoothes your skin. Jess from 26 and Not Counting recommended it to me as a miracle serum, and she was totally right. Can’t recommend it enough!
9. Rebecca Minkoff Gold Bracelet: I love this classic bracelet and it reminds me of the cuffs my mom used to wear when I was growing up. Definitely snagging this one for a great everyday bracelet to wear along or stack.
10. Star Sweater: I’m a sucker for anything with stars, and this Banana Republic sweater is so cute. I like my sweaters a little bigger, so I ordered a medium 🙂
11. Crescent Necklace: Another great everyday jewelry piece, I’ve been wearing this non-stop since I bought it a few months ago. It goes with everything and is also pretty layered with a slightly shorter necklace.
12. Pink Facial Roller: Again, late to the party on this one, but my self-care Sunday routine just got a whole lot better thanks to this facial roller. It helps to reduce puffiness and inflammation, as well as promote circulation and get things moving in your lymphatic system. Some people use it every day, but I try to roll at least once a week on the weekends.
13. Star Earrings: Again, love anything with stars and these earrings are too cute. They’d look extra cute paired with that cami for date night too 😉
14. RX Bar Nut Butters: I am such a fan of RX Bars, and their nut butters have become one of my favorite snacks of all time. I put mine on overnight oats, bright a little package with an apple to work, or eat it right out of the squeezie when I’m in a rush. I love all the flavors, but the vanilla almond butter might be my favorite.
15. Leopard Slides: I’m clearly having a slides kick, and these leopard hair slides are super cute and comfy for work or hanging out at home in style. A little pop of leopard is perfect to elevate an easy, every day look or when you have to get a little more dressed up for work.
Phew! Okay, guess there’s a lot of things I want (or already bought) this month! Let me know if you have any products you’re loving (and recommendations to make it into February’s round up too!) xx
So many goodies in this post! I definitely want to give facial rolling a try in the near future, and that crescent necklace is so pretty – perfect for everyday.
