On Trend: Fun Clutches for Spring

Good morning and happy Monday, friends! While usually I’m waking up real early on a Monday morning, I decided to take the day of and stay and extra night back home with my family in Madison. It’s my mother’s birthday today, so we got to enjoy dinner with my extended family (we went to the cutest Mexican restaurant and I ate my weight in beans, rice and tostadas…mmmmm), and celebrated with the whole restaurant singing happy birthday to her. She was totally embarrassed, but it was pretty adorable.

I always love coming home because everything slows down a little bit. There’s no crazy schedule, no million things to get done before the weekend’s over. My day starts with sleeping in, waking up an exploring my little neighborhood (there’s always a new restaurant or coffee shop that pops up), spending time with my family over a crossword puzzle or a morning cup of tea, and playing with my teeny tiny kitten. Everything’s easier, and slower, and sometimes a little more enjoyable – which is why I thought I needed an extra day to soak the slowness in a little bit. Especially when Chicago seems a little to busy from time to time (something I usually love, but something I also need a break from every once in awhile!) It’s been a nice, but a part of me is ready to get back to real life tomorrow. At least I have a few hours left 😉 Okay, in other news that’s less about me, I’ve been really really excited for clutches lately. I’m pretty sure I missed the memo 10 years ago, but for some reason I wasn’t that into clutches until a few months ago. They seemed kinda silly, and for someone who is constantly loosing everything (keys, necklaces, credit cards…), it seemed like one more thing I was destined to lose. But I’ve come around to clutches and have realized that they’re actually pretty convenient when heading to date night or going out on the town when you don’t want a bulky purse. I know I’m the last person on Earth to come to this realization, but bare with me here 🙂

Anyways, I’ve been doing some online “window” shopping, and rounded up a few of my favorite types of clutches I’ve been eyeing up!
