It’s almost feeling like spring over here, and I couldn’t be happier that we’re inching closer to summer here in the Midwest! While we’ve been lucky that it’s been a pretty mild winter overall, I’m ready to enjoy the amazingness that is Chicago in the summertime. Everyone who lives in Chicago pretty much agrees that winter here is kinda the worst, but there’s no place any of us would rather be than Chicago in the summertime. Between hanging at the beach, drinking patio margaritas and enjoying the hundreds of awesome summer festivals, summertime Chi is the greatest, so getting one month closer to summer is always something to celebrate! As we’re transitioning between the winter freeze to spring, I’ve been gravitating towards a few of my favorite feminine pieces, pairing neutrals with more feminine pink and metallic colors. Since I’m a sucker for anything with a bow {seriously, can we add bows to everything?!} I knew I needed this sweater when I discovered it last fall. I little bow sweater goes perfectly with jeans, a pretty blush skirt, or even a pair of leggings when I’m feeling extra-cozy on the weekend. Usually I’m not able to swing a cashmere sweater {aka, goodbye all my $$$!}, but I had a friend who worked at Club Monaco who bought it for me as a gift, which basically makes her the best friend ever 😉

I’ve seen pretty pleated skirts all over the place for spring, and I fell head over heels for this little blush number when I went shopping a few weeks back in LA. It has a perfect metallic sheen, and the blush goes perfectly with all my favorite white and grey sweaters during spring and tee’s in the summer. I’m planning to wear this outfit for spring dates around Chicago or for client meetings once it starts to get a little warmer out! In other news, I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead! There’s a part of me that loves starting fresh every month, so April’s the perfect time to get my life together – rearranging my overflowing closet, getting my spring cleaning on and spending time with those I love most.
