Transitioning into Fall

Today is the most Monday-y of all Mondays – not only for the usual Monday reasons, but also because last weekend was really pretty amazing, and the “after the awesome weekend” hangover is very, very real.

On Friday, we hit up Bento Box in Bucktown, a cute little Chinese restaurant I’ve always wanted to stop in after driving by a few times. And daaaaaaaang, it was beyond delicious. We ordered way too much food {which we usually have a habit of doing!} but the Singapore noodles were by far my favorite dish. They were so good, I ate them for breakfast the next day…which is saying quite a bit since I’ve been known to leave leftovers uneaten in the fridge 😉

On Saturday I spent the day with Tom’s family, watching the Badger game at a local Chicago Wisconsin bar and celebrating his cousin’s engagement party out in the suburbs. It was one of those magical nights that was filled with warm fuzzy feelings {mostly from love, partially from the open bar…} and it was amazing to celebrate something so exciting and sweet with Tom’s extended family.

Sunday we took things easy, soaking up the incredible weather and {of course} watching the Packer game. In between plays we also spent a fair amount of time planning an exciting trip in the coming months, which I’m so excited to share once everything’s finally in place! We ended the day with drinks at Parson’s patio, cooking dinner together and watching Netflix documentaries because we’re total nerds. All in all, I couldn’t ask for a better weekend – which is why this morning was a little tougher than most. charmingly-styled-34-of-50charmingly-styled-38-of-50 One of the things that made this weekend even more magical was the fact that it was beautiful in Chicago all weekend long, which usually doesn’t happen at the end of September. While I’m excited for full out fall {yay for sweater weather!}, I’ve been enjoying soaking up the last few days of beautiful weather. I’ve been wearing my favorite transitional leather jacket paired with a few of my favorite lighter spring pieces {including this Club Monaco skirt I’ve been living in over the last few weeks!} and although it’s not quite fall, I’m not too upset about it 😉 charmingly-styled-42-of-50 charmingly-styled-46-of-50charmingly-styled-45-of-50 charmingly-styled-41-of-50Any fun plans for the week? I’m excited to catch up on work, and get my life in order before heading back to Madison this upcoming weekend to visit my family. Hope you all get to enjoy the week and have lots of coffee to kick off your Monday morning too!charmingly-styled-49-of-50

I want this entire outfit right now! So cute! The cropped leather jacket with the high-waisted skirt is just dynamite, plus I love how you took a more structured skirt and made it casual with the graphic tee and flats. Totally perfect style!

So obsessed with that skirt… I love the stripes and the tie-front! And totally with you on the “after the awesome weekend” hangover… I hate when those come around, but here’s to another amazing weekend!
