The Best Part Of Fall

I’ve always had a love of caramels, especially since my late grandmother always had a fancy candy jar full of my favorites whenever I came to visit. I would spend most of the days in her home sneaking as many Werther’s caramels as I could throughout the afternoon, usually leaving nothing but wrappers by the time my family packed up to head home for the evening. Needless to say, I did not sleep on the way home – and I usually bounced in the back seat in sugar-induced excitement. Grandma’s house was clearly the best – and all you can sneak caramels were definitely the cherry on top.

Now that I’m older, I try not to binge on caramels all too often, but I do like to indulge in a Werther’s every once in awhile {and I usually have a few pieces in my purse whenever I need a little pick-me-up!}. Now that it’s fall, I’m also adding a little caramel to my wardrobe too, and my favorite neutrals are making an appearance all season long.05 0307 08Since I’m all about celebrating the season {especially since it’s now officially starting to feel a little more like fall these days!} here are a few of my favorite caramel-inspired favorite things for the season.

1. Caramel Sweaters: I’m pretty much into anything that’s cozy these days, but this caramel colored sweater is definitely my go-to fall piece I’ve been gravitating towards in my closet. There’s something cozy about caramel colors in the fall, and I’m planning on filling up my closet with my favorite sweaters and knits to keep comfy all season long.

2. Caramel Apples: I mean, is there anything better? I usually try to resist until mid-fall, but this summer I’m already craving freshly picked apples and caramel goodness. I’m usually too lazy to make my own, but I’ve been known to pick up a few from the orchard, or the grocery store whenever I happen to walk by a display – oops!

3. Fall Farmer’s Markets: Farmer’s Markets are my favorite place all year round, but I especially love sipping on hot coffee and perusing all the fall produce and gorgeous flowers. My new favorite place is the Logan Square farmer’s market on Sunday morning {not only because they don’t open until 10 AM, but also because I’m convinced they have the best produce in town!

4. Fall cocktails: I may or may not have bought a few bottles of bourbon this week to get ready for some seriously delicious fall cocktails {apple cider bourbon? maple old fashioneds? Yes please!}. I’m hoping to whip up a few this weekend when I come back to Madison and hang out with the family – aka my favorite cocktail connoisseurs!06 02 08Clearly, I’m really looking forward to all things fall – especially now that the weather is starting to actually feel a little fall-like! And I’ll be acting like a {slightly more mature version} little kid again, sneaking Werther’s throughout the day and eating my new favorite flavor – their new caramel apple version! You can find the perfect caramel to fit your personality when you take their new caramel quiz too – check it out here! Find yours and see what caramel fits your personality too, it’s pretty fun to take! Also, Werther’s just won the Women’s Choice Award for ‘America’s Most Recommended Caramels’, so you know it has to be extra good 😉 11 10 09What are your favorite part of fall? I’d love to know what you’re looking forward to!

A big thanks to Wether’s for sponsoring this post! As always, all opinions are my own. Thanks for supporting the brands that make Charmingly Styled possible. #FallForWerthers
