Oh heyyyyyyy baseball season! I’m happy you’re finally here!
While I live just a few blocks away from Wrigley Field, I will always had a soft spot for the Milwaukee Brewers. Wisconsinites take their sports very seriously and once you’re a Badger, Packer backer or Brewers fan, you really never can turn back – so I consider myself a forever fan despite wherever I move to {don’t worry Chicago, your teams are always #2 in my book!}. And obviously, I take dressing accordingly very seriously when it comes to games 😉
But first, I’ll be real with you – I’m not the biggest fan of sports and my friends often make fun of me for not really having any idea of what’s going on {“GO SPORTS!” is usually my cheer of choice…}, but I’ve always loved how sports can bring people together. I remember getting so excited for Brewers games when I was little because it meant road tripping up to Milwaukee with my dad and his family to spend the day adventuring around the city and eating all the junk food I ever wanted. As a kid who’s parents had a 10 grams of sugar or less rule for when it came to my morning bowl of cereal, I was always super excited to go to sporting events because it meant that I got to eat hot dogs and ice cream as much as I wanted because mom totally didn’t know! {Ps. mom, please don’t read this post, I don’t want to get dad in trouble!}
Anyways I still get super excited for baseball games because it’s the perfect excuse for a road-trip back to Milwaukee to sit in a stadium full of people who are completely jazzed about the Brewers, Wisconsin beer, and of cheese – the trifecta of game day awesomeness. Despite whatever craziness is happening in the world, sometimes it nice to watch a game, kick back and find a reason to unite a bunch of people rather than divide them. The more beers involved, the better. When it comes to rocking game day gear, I always try to snag pieces that don’t come with a hefty price tag, and this comfy oversized sweatshirt from Gordmans has been my go-to for colder spring days. It’s incredibly soft and comfy enough that no one has to know that I ate a few too many hot dogs during the game {this is a no judge zone, right?}. I’m planning on wearing it all season long while I enjoy games from Chicago or Milwaukee {hint hint Wisconsin friends, let’s go to a game!} Who are you excited to cheer on this season? Obviously Wisconsin is #1 in my heart, but I suppose it’s alright if you have another favorite team too 😉 With March Madness over, we need something else to look forward to {you know, because sports!} so hopefully you’re excited about this baseball season as I am 😉 xx
I’ve lived in Wisconsin for how long, and I have YET to go to a Brewer’s game – it’s a tragedy, I know. BUT, if I can get my hands on this cute shirt, I’ll definitely be making an appearance at a game as soon as I possibly can. 🙂
Gorgeous! Love the look 🙂
