And while I’m not a big football fan {especially when my fave team’s done for the season), I am a BIG fan of sweet spreads to game day – especially when they involve my favorite candy. When Halloween is over 10 months away, you need a sweet snack – and game day is as good as of an excuse as any!
I threw a girly football party for a few of the playoff games this weekend and whipped up a few sweet recipes. I headed to Target for some of my favorite goodies including M&M’s, Snickers and my personal favorite – Skittles! Here’s a few of my favorite recipes for a Super Bowl party, just in time to prep for this year’s big game!Snickers Cheesecake Spread:
What you’ll need:
• 12 ounces fat-free cream cheese
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup chopped SNICKERS original fun-sized
• 4 oz milk chocolate, melted
• 1/3 cup caramel sauce
• Market Pantry vanilla wafers
Directions:
• Use an electric mixer to mix together the cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl. Stir until light and fluffy for about 5 minutes.
• Add vanilla extract to the mix, and continue to fluff for 1 more minute.
• Reduce the speed to low and add the chopped snickers to the mix.
• Microwave (or use a double boiler) to heat up the chocolate. Once melted, combine to the mixture with the caramel sauce using a spatula. Make sure to not fully combine to achieve a swirling effect!
• Transfer the dip into a serving bowl and garnish with additional snickers pieces. Serve with a bowl of Target Market Pantry vanilla wafers.
It’s seriously delicious (who doesn’t love cheesecake?) and perfect for game day.
Chocolate Pretzels with Peanut M&M’s
What you’ll need:
• Peanut M&M’s
• Large milk chocolate chips
• Square pretzels
Directions:
These are literally the easiest snack to make – and they’re super delicious with my favorite Peanut M&M’s!
• Place your pretzels on a baking sheet, topped with large chocolate chips.
• Next, put your pretzels in the oven at 200 degrees for about 3-4 minutes.
• Once the chocolate is soft, pull out the pretzels and place peanut butter M&M’s in the middle of the chip.
• Let the pretzels cool, and then place them in the fridge for at least 15 minutes until cooled. Still looking for even more party inspiration?
