Best Brunch Spots in Chicago {According to Bloggers!}

I always look forward to the weekend for obvious reasons – sleeping in until 10 (YAY!!!), catching up on projects/blogging, and of course – brunching real hard – holla!

Chicago is known for having an amazing food scene, but brunch is by far my favorite meal to go out for. Every weekend I have to pick between eggs benedict and pancakes {it’s always a tough one…} and try as much as I can do explore new restaurants that are known for having epic brunches. And while I’ve been to my fair share of brunches around the city, there are a few that I love a little more than the others 😉

Since I didn’t want to be totally biased with my selects, I asked a few of my favorite Chicago bloggers to share their best brunch spots in Chicago too! While it’s hard to share just one, all the below are definitely delicious {and totally adding to your must-try restaurant list!} Bright-And-Beautiful-Brunch-Spot Laura of Bright and Beautiful: Summer House Santa Monica in Lincoln Park

Summer House Santa Monica is my favorite spot for brunch in Chicago. I’m all about its bright summery décor, plus amazing dishes, fresh juices and can’t-miss bakery bar!

The food is seasonal and the new menu items are always delish! Plus Logan Square is so fun to explore on the weekend too. {image via The Fox and She}

Lauren-Kelp-Chicago-BrunchLauren of Lauren Kelp: The Bongo Room in Wicker Park

It’s a Chicago staple and it’s perfect if you are feeling wildly decadent. Also, their french toast tower, to die for! {image via Lauren’s Latest}

Gold-Coast-Girl-Blog-SpotSamantha of Gold Coast Girl: 3 Arts Club in the Gold Coast

I love the 3 Arts Club at Restoration Hardware because of the beautiful décor, fun people watching, and tasty food. It is also a great for afternoon cocktails or an early dinner because the wait can sometimes be a bit long {but well worth it!}.

Megan of Sparkles & Sprinkles: Toast
Sometimes you want the fancy pancakes or the farm to table omelet and other times you just want the classics, but the classics done very well! Say hello to Toast, the neighborhood breakfast nook with a line that is sure to wrap around the building and a table close enough to your neighbor’s that you could basically steal the sausage right off their plate. It’s the perfect cozy, comforting and anything but original breakfast spot. The omelets are to die for and the multigrain toast with homemade jam is the cherry on top for your morning brunch. {image via Sequins & Stripes}

Lake-Shore-Lady-BrunchLauren of Lake Shore Lady: Kanela in Old Town

Kanela is the cutest little brunch spot in Old Town. Yes, it gets crowded, but everything is SO delicious. Their breakfast skillet changes every day, but I always seem to go back for their Spicy Feta Omelette. With breakfast potatoes, of course. {image via Chicago Food Magazine}

The-Kittchen-Brunch-SpotKit of The Kittchen: Bar Siena

Bar Siena has one of the biggest and best brunch menus in the city. They have pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches in addition to egg dishes with an Italian twist. Definitely one of the most man friendly brunch menus in Chicago too! {image via The Kittchen}

Alright, I obviously had to add in my two cents too!

Like Laura, I firmly believe that Summer House’s brunch is a hard one to beat. I love going all year long, but especially in the middle of winter since their main dining room has gorgeous sunlight windows that help to give you your daily dose of vitamin D! From the fresh squeezed oj, handcrafted specialty lattes and delicious breakfast tostadas, this place is hard to beat when it comes to brunch. I’d gladly go every weekend if I could squeeze in a reservation!

Any other favorite brunch spots we missed? We’d love to know what other brunch spots Chicagoans love! xx
