What’s cookin’ good lookins?!
I’m sure you’re in the same boat too, but I’m officially ready to kick off the holiday season. I feel like I’ve been crawling to the finish line this year when it comes to the holidays, and the last few weeks have been going in slow motion. It’s been a mad dash to get last minute gifts {erm, or gifts in general…}, finishing up some crazy projects at work and trying to get ahead of everything so I can finally have some time to relax…And you know what? I’ve really sucked at it all.
I don’t know what the deal is over the last few weeks, but I think I’ve completely burned myself out. I was in total denial about it for at least a week – coming home to crank on my to-do list and then finding myself asleep on my couch 20 minutes later. But then I realized that maybe I should just ride out the struggle and give myself permission to not do everything, and maybe not do anything too if that’s what I really need. Here’s to hoping that taking some much time off gets me extra jazzed for 2016, because I know that there’s a lot of good things in store!
You can’t help but look back at the whole year during the holidays, and this one has definitely been memorable. From crazy trips around the world to feeling a little more “settled” in Chicago, I’m so thankful for amazing friends and the support of my family through it all. And thank YOU for following along on this crazy adventure too! I’m so thankful to know each and every one of you. Here’s to a healthy, happy, and peaceful new year – hopefully 2016 will be the best yet. I have a good feeling about this one friends…
I’ll be back a little bit before the new year, but I’m taking some much needed time off to seek out some new creativity – and I hope you do the same! Give your loved ones a big hug and take the extra days to refresh yourself before the big 2016! xx
Hope you have a great Christmas break, unplug and relax with your family!! These long and relaxing days at home are the best, I know I’ll be taking full advantage of it! Hope to see you girl!!
xo, Sarah
