Growing up, I used to be jealous of those sisters who got along so well, they shared the same closet – because, lets be real, how awesome would it be to have twice as many clothes?
So, when college finally came came around and I actually had roommates for the first time {only children struggles!}, I thought that I would suddenly have twice as many clothes – because that’s what college chick flicks made you believe. Turns out, I was far from correct and I lived another 4 years with my own closet – trying to avoid asking the question I always wanted to ask, which was usually, “Could I borrow your dress for formal? Because I’m way to cheap to buy a new one!” Nowadays, I have my own unique set of closet struggles, mostly due to this whole fashion blogging thing. While I love shopping as much as the next gal, saving money can kinda be a pain when you have 5 more outfit posts to do and a few too many bills to pay. I know, first world problems for sure – but still, what’s a gal to do when she’s completely run out of clothes?
Luckily for me, these days I have friends who would happily {and often!} lend me a dress when I’m in a bind. And sometimes, they know that you’re a blogger, so they throw in a few bonus dresses for outfit posts too because that’s just how awesome those kinda friends are. And plus, how gorgeous is this dress?! It’s the perfect mix of summer brights, a bold print and a killer silhouette to boot!

That was a fear of mine when I started blogging about clothes, and a big reason why I only post three days a week. I still have a ways to go, but I can see how if I stopped buying clothes it would be hard to keep up the outfit posts for any great length of time. I’m an outfit repeater at work anyway, so I like having the latitude to wear and outfit again without needing to come up with something for the blog.
