charms i love, v.5

Yussssss! My friends, it’s officially the weekend! #halelujah

I am ready to sleep in, clean my not-so-tidy apartment, thrash around town in celebration of St. Patty’s & do a whole lot of nothing. Let’s just hope the next few hours fly by….
In other news – here are a few of my favorite charms all over the internets. This weeks roundup is full of strong women, awesome style & some all natural goodness 🙂
  • I love Chelsie’s post about Makeup Alley, a heaven for product reviews to hit up before you splurge on the expensive stuff.
  • Sheryl Sandberg strikes again, and this time she’s taking on the word bossy. When guys are ambitious they’re called leaders, when women are determined they’re called bossy. Not cool world – so let’s ban bossy & nix it from our vocabulary.
  • Emily’s tips for making all natural detergent are the bomb.com. Love seeing a gal I know and love featured on Refinery 29!
  • Mindy Kaling was asked during an interview at SXSW if it was a conscious decision for her to have Mindy be the only female & woman of color doctor on the show, so she put her interviewer in his place. Her response? “I look at shows on TV, and this is going to just seem defensive, but I’m
    just gonna say it: I’m a f—ing Indian woman who has her own f—ing
    network television show, OK? I have four series regulars that are women on my show, and no one asks
    any of the shows I adore — and I won’t name them because they’re my
    friends — why no leads on their shows are women or of color, and I’m the
    one that gets lobbied about these things.” – preach, sister.
  • I’m a huge fan of the gorgeous Merritt’s blog, and this outfit was one of my favorites to date {although hers are always amazing}. Love the monochromatic look for spring – especially in this gorgeous red color.
Hope you all have an amazing weekend! Can’t wait to creep on your Instagram adventures {guilty as charged}

    Sheryl seems like a pretty cool gal and this kind of hits home (or work rather) for me. Glad I'm not the only one who creeps Insta adventures 😉 Have a good one!
