When it comes to makeup, I tend to keep it simple & subtle. I tend to go with an easy powder, a whole lot of cover up, a little blush and mascara + eyeliner to polish it off. On days when I’m feeling especially dangerous, I’ll add a dash of eyeshadow to shake things up. Yeah I know, it’s crazy living life on the edge 😉
So naturally, the idea of neon lips tends immediately gets me way out of my comfort zone. However, after being a creepy Pinterest stalker, some of the ladies above have inspired me to give it a go. Especially in the depths of a frigid Midwest winter, adding a little spring to my look would hopefully add some spring to my step. Hey, it’s worth a try right?
I braved my bold makeup fears and nabbed these bright Kate Spade shades from TJ Maxx this weekend – holla for a dolla! {and for saving a few in the process}
Here are a few of my neon favorites on my bold lip wish list. The leader of the pack is definitely the new Bite Beauty Citrus Lip Pencils coming your way soon – if they’re even 1/2 as wonderful as their usual lippies, I’m already a #1 fan!
I love a bright lip especially in spring/summer! Can't wait to try the new Bite pencils as well – their lip formulas are the best!
Oh, so fun! I definitely need to give this a try! I love trying new lip colors. Sometimes they look really bad on me, but who cares, how do you know until you try it?!
