Weekend Recap – Wisconsin Edition

Monday’s are hard…especially when Monday’s after long weekend. Although I love my job, I think I could have used a few more days to soak up the sun & celebrate uh’merica.
My weekend consisted of laying low & spending some much needed time back in Madison with the family. We cooked a lot of delicious food, drank a lot of {rhubarb} margaritas, and enjoyed some time in the Wisco country. I love being back, but I become such a homebody. Rather than attempting to see everyone back home, I tend to hide away and watch old movies with my parents, no shame.  At least living in Chicago has started to {slowly} get my out of my comfort zone.
On Saturday, we road- tripped to the International Crane Foundation to check out cranes from around the world. Although I thought it was going to be kinda nerdy – spoiler alert: it totally was –  it was fascinating seeing cranes from around the world and hiking the Wisconsin countryside.
Any highlights from your long weekends? Hope the weekend hangover isn’t too bad for everyone!

Looks like such a fun and relaxing long weekend! Rhubarb margaritas sound really interesting.. I'm not sure I've even had rhubarb before though! Our weekend was pretty relaxing as well but Monday definitely came too fast!

It looks like a fabulous weekendโ€“I can't get over that pretty picture of you! Mondays after vacations are always the worst…I'm feeling your pain!
