Off to be a Good One.

Abraham Lincoln clearly knew what was up.
Lately, I feel like I’ve been struggling with blogging, mostly because I feel like I’m running out of time with everything. The hours at work flash by, the train ride home seems to take seconds, and then I’m home…and it’s always later than I imagined it to be.  I feel like I’m not finding the time to “be a good one” – or at least the best I can be when it comes to being a friend, a responsive blogger, figuring out my life {i.e. finding an apartment}, and getting my looming to do list under control.
So I’m off for a few days to catch up on life! Hopefully I’ll be able to piece things together and come back with a fresh perspective and the energy I need to be “a good one” again 🙂

You just moved and started a new job, so I can imagine how busy things are! Take some time to get things in line- the blogging world will still be here waiting for you 🙂

You ARE "a good one" Maya! Life just gets crazy sometimes–we all go through it. In fact, I'm going through the same thing right now too! I was just thinking about how I need to do "more" in a lot of aspects of my life, and got super overwhelmed–then I popped over here and read this, so perfect timing. I totally feel ya!

I think we all understand and have felt the same way! I've been a little MIA lately in the blogging world, but the way I look at it is life goes on without my blog going up…and I'm busy living life in the process 🙂

I feel the same way…since getting back from the trip there just doesn't seem like enough hours in the day between work and errands to spare some time! I'm so happy that you're taking a little breather! I'm so excited that you have a long weekend ahead to spend time with Brian and friends back home!

Good luck! I found it helpful to take time off from the blog to put in some good hours setting up posts for later. That way you get a lot of the work out of the way so you can blog more slowly later and enjoy your life more!

You deserve to take a little break lady – I can't imagine keeping up with blogging with a new move/job… I can barely handle it during "normal" life haha! We'll be here when you're ready to come back 🙂 xoxo

Time off is exactly what you need… Life comes first – and I'm sure the second you step away is when inspiration will hit. I know that when things get crazy (work/family, etc) – the blog is the place I cut first. While I love and enjoy it, it will never take the place of the tangible relationships or the work priorities we have. That is… until we all make it to the big time 😉

It is funny how I feel most bloggers put so much pressure on themselves to post all the time, consistently, but if it isn't your full-time job, it only makes sense to take breaks ever once in awhile! There is no way that someone will a full-time job who has any sort of a social life can keep up with blogging 24/7! Don't be too hard on yourself, I can't image how crazy things are right now with just moving! 🙂 We will still be here!
