Rebecca Taylor Tweed Jacket // Joe’s Skinny Jeans // Silk Camisole // Cuyana Bag // Suede Loafers {open back option here too} // Knot Necklace {on sale!}
Happy Monday, friends! Hope you all had a fun weekend full of lots of relaxing, cocktails, and soaking up some sun wherever you are. I spent the weekend hanging with my mom and dad and we spent our days eating too much, exploring vintage stores, whipping up cocktails in between. Anyways, it was fun spending some time with my parents and enjoying a relaxing weekend in the city – I hope you had a fun weekend too!
In other news, I’ve been trying to be a little more responsible when it comes to my spending lately, especially after a traumatic incident last month where my computer disappeared {I honestly don’t know what happened to it…but it’s one of life’s new great mysteries}. And ever since then, I’ve been desperately trying to curve my spending so my bank account isn’t so SOL. So far, it’s actually not going too badly and I’m trying to focus on spending less and only investing in a few staples that are missing from my closet. And although I want to buy everything I see when I walk into a J.Crew of Nordstrom, I’m trying to reel it in a little bit – which means no crazy spending when it comes to shopping. So far, it’s actually been going pretty well! I’ve been focusing my purchases on fewer, better things and trying to more creatively rewear a few items that have been sitting in my closet for a few seasons {like this scalloped silk shirt I loved but only ended up wearing a few times!}. I’d also been coveting this Rebecca Taylor white blazer for over a year – and I finally found it on super sale at Sake Off 5th, one go my favorite places to find deals of designer pieces I’ve been having my eye on. And I’ve started to realize that sometimes the wait is worth it, especially when you’re able to save a few hundred bucks 😉 Another brand that I love {which also embraces the fewer, better mentality} is Cuyana, who I’ve loved for years and years. I picked up this Mini Chain Saddle Bag in blush a few weeks back and I love that it’s perfect for for spring and with a comfy, casual look. I keep promising myself I won’t wear jeans all the time, but hey – when the weather is this picky {and jeans are this comfy}, I just can’t help myself. Anyways, do you have any secrets to saving money or curbing your spending when it comes to shopping? Any tips are much appreciated as my laptop hole in my bank account is still very real – whoops! xx
I just love this look on you! It’s so classic and chic with the cream/white. I can’t believe your laptop just disappeared, so weird and annoying to your bank account!
I know! I feel like it must have gotten stolen, but the whole thing is bizarre 🙁 Oh well, everything worked out so I can’t complain 😉 xx
Such a chic look! That jacket is timeless and that’s so awesome that you found it on super sale at Saks Off 5th! I need to make a point to go in there more often!

It was surprising how many good finds there were! You have to do a little digging, but it’s worth it 😉 xx
This is a great outfit- I love how classic everything is! I’m definitely more of a spender than a saver, and having a blog doesn’t help. I’ve been trying to save more lately as well (we have a lot of house projects coming up) and I actually wrote a blog post about some of my money saving tips that went live this morning. We’re on the same wavelength!
One thing I’ve always prided myself on when it comes to buying clothes is to wait for it to go on sale. That being said, I have a hard time saying no to a good deal- and that’s where things add up quickly. I’ve actually unsubscribed to retail emails about sale notifications so I’ll stay away. 🙂 It’s helped a bit, and I still somehow manage to get the good deals without clicking over to the website every time there’s a sale.
That’s SUCH a good idea to unsubscribe from sale notifications! I feel like whenever I see a super good deal I can’t help myself, so I’m definitely going to take your advice and just start avoiding them all together 😉
That jacket is everything! Couldn’t you have picked up some spares for the rest of us?
Haha oh girl, I am putting you on the list for the next one I find! xx
I’m freaking loving your top/jacket combo. Whenever I want to spend less, I remove the options to shop. I’ll delete store emails as soon as they enter my inbox without looking at them, and I won’t allow myself to go into stores. It works, for the most part 😉 I also have a monthly clothing budget that I publish, which really holds me accountable.

Oh hey there pretty lady, you look extra beautiful in this outfit!! Love the gorgeous blazer! And maybe now that I’ve embarked on my “Major Closet Clean Out of 2017,” I can focus on filling the gaps with fewer, better things too 😉
I LOVE this whole outfit!
