Over the years, I’ve gotten a little better at realizing what wardrobe essentials I should invest in, and what ones I should snag for a steal. I used to be a stickler about buying everything on a budget, but now that I’m “supposedly” a full fledged adult {debatable…} I’ve been trying to be a little more meaningful about what I invest in.

Lately, I’ve been trying to invest in work clothes {always on the top of your list when you have a new job!}, a nice handbag and heels that I’ll be able to wear again and again. But things like jeans, basic tops and sandals are pieces I’ve been scoring for a deal all summer long – and it turns out it’s a lot easier to find them for a steal than I used to think!  As a self proclaimed jean nut, I take my denim very seriously – especially since I wear jeans to work almost every day {even in the summer!}. There’s nothing easier than putting on a nice pair of jeans and a comfortable top before heading out the door, and working in advertising makes my work outfit of choice totally passable – yay!

My latest jeans obsession are YMI jeans from Gordmans, which are not only incredibly affordable {I snagged this pair for just $20!}, but they’re also super comfortable for a day at the office, or running around town during the weekends. And when I find a pair of jeans that I love for a steal, I tend to buy them up in every wash I can find – which in this case means the light, dark and grey versions too! And now all the money I saved from not buying a $200 pair of jeans can go right to that new purse I’ve been coveting, right?
