Today’s a big day – it’s the first day of my new job! I’ve been keeping the news under wraps for a few weeks as I was wrapping things up at my previous gig, but today officially marks my first day at Ogilvy & Mather on their social media team! I’m working on their Corona Light and Negro Modelo business {yay to beer!} and I couldn’t be happier to be joining the best and the brightest to nerd out about social media with. To be honest, I really missed working at a large agency with big brands, platform teams and working closely with an inspiring, kick-ass creative team. I know I should be a little scared {which I am!}, but I’m mostly excited and energized at the new challenge. Wish me luck, friends!

But leaving a job is always bittersweet because meeting amazing people and working with cool clients is always a hard things to leave. I’ll definitely miss coffee runs to SoHo house in the morning with their magical coffee {seriously, I don’t know what they put in there, but it’s definitely rocket fuel!}, enjoying lunches at Sienna Tavern and Little Goat Diner, and watching the neighborhood continue to grow, and get waaaaay too cool for me 😉 SoHo-House-FInals (3 of 18) SoHo-House-FInals (4 of 18)On one of my last days, I stopped by SoHo house to grab an early morning coffee with Katie before she headed out to NYC for a week of desk-side appointments {p.s. for those of you who work in PR, they sound incredibly scary/intimidating. More power to you people!}. It’s sad leaving friends to go off to a new job, but thankfully a few of my favorite work buddies also happen to be bloggers, so I’ll be seeing them around town pretty often {there’s always a silver lining, right?}. So while I’m sad to leave my current job, I know it’s a pretty short goodbye before I see everyone again. Plus, with social media so I can easily stalk everyone, so that makes everything so much better 🙂 SoHo-House-FInals (7 of 18)SoHo-House-FInals (11 of 18)SoHo-House-FInals (6 of 18) SoHo-House-FInals (12 of 18) On one of my last days, I wore one of my new favorite outfit combinations – flared jeans and this perfectly summery Anthropologie top I scooped up a few weeks back. I’ve always been on the hunt for a perfect summer tank top – and I loved that this one had some serious bohemian flare {bonus points that it looks good with skinny jeans, flares and shorts!}. I’ve been wearing it on repeat so much that I’ve already had to take it to the cleaners a few times to get some stains out – is there anyone else out there who can’t seem to keep a white shirt clean to save their life? Case and point – I definitely spilled coffee on myself about 5 minutes after Katie snapped these photos – whoops!SoHo-House-FInals (14 of 18)SoHo-House-FInals (13 of 18)I’ll try to report back and let you know how my first day was – but any good vibes are very much appreciated! And speaking of, if you have any tips on how to rock your first week at a new job – please help a sister out! You know I’d love to know your secrets 😉 xx
