Leather Jacket {similar here on major sale! and here} // Jeans // Tory Burch Purse // Shoes // Striped Shirt
As you may or may not have gathered from my little corner of the internet, I don’t really consider myself a very edgy person. I sway towards classic pieces, anything with blue and white stripes {I really I need to get a new favorite trend or this blog is going to be hella boring this spring!} and play it pretty safe when it comes to my daily outfits. But I’ve always secretly dreamed of owning a leather jacket because there’s something that actually kinda makes you feel like a badass when you’re wearing one – but the search to find the perfect one proved pretty fruitless over the last few years. My criteria for the perfect leather jacket included the following:
• Real leather {I know, I know – I’m a terrible person, but I wanted one real leather jacket that wasn’t 100% pleather!}
• Motorcycle cut {you know, because I’m so edgy}
• Under $100 because I irrationally thought that this was possible… As you may have anticipated…my search didn’t go too well with my fairly unreasonable expectations and budget. I owned my fair share of Forever21 pleather jackets for a few years, until I stumbled across this Rebecca Minkoff number at Nordstrom Rack {my newest and most dangerous shopping addiction} and the price tag blew my fricking mind. For some reason the $600 jacket was $75 and magically fit my unrealistic criteria perfectly – it was legit a shopping miracle 😉 Needless to say it’s become my new favorite thing in my closet and I do feel a little more badass every time I wear it {even though I definitely don’t look anymore badass, ha!} As you can tell my the hearts in my eyes, my leather jacket love is especially strong with this one. Although it’s still a little chilly outside now, I’m sure it’s going to be my go-to all spring long, and keep me a little warmer during summer nights. And with a jacket this classic, I know it will last me for years to come no matter the season. Have any pieces you’ve been coveting? Now that I’m on a lucky streak I can keep my eyes open for you 😉 In other news, I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead and is enjoying some pretty spring weather. Just a few more weeks until we can all bust out the shorts and enjoy the sunshine – yay!
What a steal!! I always love a good motorcycle cut, they’re so flattering.
