I’ve been all about that cocktail life recently because when you’re cooped up all winter long, you might as well make something tasty! To kick the winter blues to the curb, I’ve been whipping up some fruity cocktails to make it kinda feel like summer. I’m not sure if it’s actually working, but I definitely don’t mind getting to taste test them all! One of my favorite cocktail flavors these days in anything with grapefruit, so I’ve been whipping up a few new versions to test out my favorite. One of the front runners has to be this St. Elder Greyhound I tried a few weeks back, and I’ve been making it on repeat every weekend {believe me, it’s just that good!} Here’s how to make it yourself this weekend:
Elderflower Greyhound Directions:
Makes one cocktail
• 1 1/2 oz vodka
• 1 oz elderflower liqueur {St. Elder or St. Germaine are my faves}
• 2 oz pink grapefruit juice
• An orange slice for garnish
Combine vodka, elderflower liqueur and grapefruit juice together in a shaker filled with ice. Mix vigorously and pour over a tumbler filled with ice. Squeeze an orange over the drink and garnish before enjoying. It’s even more refreshing than it looks, and it’s perfect to get a little splash of summer in the middle of winter. Enjoy it with some tacos, or basically anything else that reminds you of summer 🙂 Don’t worry friends, it’s only about 150 days away… xx
Great post! Love the pics! 🙂 xo

I often order this drink (minus the elderflower) and never knew it was called a “Greyhound”. I know, I probably should have learned that in college but oh well 🙂
This looks SO GOOD, Maya! Next time, no tea and ice cream… 😉 XOXO
