summer instagram bucket list.

Hi Everyone! Today, my intern Zoe is sharing her Summer bucket list with us. Be sure to check it out!

Its official: Summer is in full swing, which means lots of adventures and sunny days ahead. Since this weather is {usually} perfect for traveling, exploring or pretty much anything else you can imagine, I like to give this season the full attention it deserves by doing as many summery things as possible and sharing on Instagram. To celebrate the season, here’s a list of some of my favorite ways to enjoy summer that are totally Instagrammable.

Take a day tip – I’m saving this idea for a weekend when I really need to get away from it all. Taking a trip outside the city is the perfect opportunity to see semi-local things while snapping a few Instagram pictures along the way.

Do a pub or restaurant crawl – This is the perfect excuse to get your friends together and explore some new places around town! Pick a neighborhood or street to check out a few different restaurants and pubs (with your phone in tow of course). Whether its appetizers, drinks or dessert, explore a little bit of each place – then move to the next. The options are endless!

Picnic in the park – Definitely a must, and so Instagrammable! Whether it’s during lunch break at work or a weekend afternoon, it’s something that can be done many times throughout the season, plus it’s a great way to get outside even on crazy busy days.

Wardrobe Re-Vamp – Not exactly an outdoorsy activity, but I’ve been finding that with wedding and travel season upon us, I’ve been doing more closet exploring and donating items I don’t really need for summer. Once you’ve got your closet in a good place – snap a picture to make your neat freak fans jealous!

Lazy day at the beach – Nothing says Summer more than a day at the beach! As crazy as this sounds, Lake Michigan is literally right outside my door and I rarely head down to the beach (bad, I know!) But this summer, I’m planning a picturesque day at the beach complete with cookouts, swimming, and all the good stuff that makes the season so sweet.

Festival Life – Around the midwest, we definitely have our fair share of festivals, which are the epitome of summer fun. Whether or not you live in a small or big town, there is always something going on. Grab your phone and take a few snaps of those crazy fried treats on a stick or of you and your friends enjoying a killer summer show.

Friend Bonding Day – It’s been so easy to get caught up in work and life and become overwhelmed without even realizing it.  I’ll be the first to admit that I have been slacking on the friendship side of things, especially these last few busy months. This definitely calls for a some serious bonding with the people in my life I haven’t seen lately, and capture our day on our Instagrams (with @tags included of course!)

Work Your Way Through a CookbookI originally got this idea while watching the movie Julie and Julia back in the day, and I really do love the whole idea of cooking your way through an entire cookbook. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but I’m dedicated to actually starting it this summer! So go ahead and join me by brining out your inner Julia Child, and take some delicious foodstagrams while you’re at it!
