Good morning, friends! It feels like it’s been a minute since I’ve been on this little blog. The last few weeks have been absolutely crazy with travel, and work, and a lot of fun life updates I’m excited to share in the coming weeks. After a winter full of hibernation, I’m starting to finally feel a little bit more like myself again – the weather’s turning warmer, I’m feeling more inspired, and have a few fun projects in the works that are keeping me busy (in mostly good ways!). I can’t wait to share some exciting updates and new projects in a few weeks – but until then I’ll be having to keep it on the down low 😉
A few weeks ago I went to my friends Hannah and Ali’s studio (The Studio Chicago) had a little mini session, and Katie and I shot some photos with a few of their amazingly beautiful backdrops around the studio. It got me back in the spring mood which was very needed, and I finally busted out some of the dresses I’d ordered over the winter that I hadn’t had a change to wear yet.
My new favorite place to buy dresses, sweaters and other pieces is Few Moda, which I recently discovered while attempting to find a more affordable version of the Hill House Nap Dress. I really loved the look of a Nap Dress, but couldn’t quite justify the $150 price tag. After lots of online research I stumbled across Few Moda, and they basically work with the same producers that make clothes for brands like Reformation, Joie, Alice and Olivia, Chloe and more. And since you’re working with a different third-party brand you can basically get them for wholesale prices – and the same looking nap dress at Few Moda is $65 vs. the steeper $150 price tag. The only “catch” is that you pay about $40 a quarter to be a member, but I’ve been ordering all my dresses and other clothes from there these days that it’s been very worth the membership cost!
I bought this dress at Few Moda a month or so ago (clearly was dreaming of spring vibes!) and it’s super flattering and flowy as I’m working on getting back into summer body shape 😉 It’s sold out, but this dress is pretty close, and there’s so many other pretty dresses here that I love. If you’re not a member yet (or haven’t ordered from Few Moda yet) you can get 10% off your first order here too!
Anyways – less about dresses, more about what we’re all looking forward to for spring! Now that the sun is starting to come out in Chicago I’m feeling so much more excited and ready for summer – I can already tell how much better it’s been for my mental health too. The dark, gloomy, cold days of winter were definitely getting me down – but now that summer is on the horizon again I’m so excited to enjoy Chicago and everything that makes summers in the city so magical. I’m looking forward to long walks with Milo around Bucktown, patio season, busting out the backyard furniture and enjoying as many warm moments in Chicago as humanly possible. Plus we’re still working from home for most of the week in the summer so I can enjoy some conference calls in the sunshine (literally the GREATEST work from home perk!). Hope you are all feeling a little more excited and refreshed for warner weather too! So excited to share a few more exciting projects in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out on CS to see what’s next for us! <3
