Happy Monday! As I’m sure you’ve noticed, things have been a little quiet around here the past few weeks, so sorry for being a little MIA. Between work and life, things have been a little hectic – so unfortunately the blog had to be on the back burner for a few days as I attempted to get my life together. Don’t worry though – things are looking up, so I’ll have a lot of posts coming your way in the coming days and months. Thanks for your patience as I prioritized sleep > social media (sometimes you need it!)
I have been working on a few things behind the scenes lately, and I got to grab coffee with my sweet friend, (and insanely talented photographer) Hannah a few days ago. It was one of those days I was motivated to go shoot a bunch of outfits in the morning, but Chicago’s weather had different plans (aka, wind and 30 degree temps…) so we ended up grabbing coffee at The Robey instead. Their downstairs is my favorite place for a weekend brunch or coffee, and it has a cool, midcentury-ish vibe and one of the best lattes in the city. Luckily they weren’t too offended when I asked if we could take photos before it got too busy in the morning 😉 I popped on this pretty embroidered Anthropologie dress to attempt to channel some sunnier weather (spoiler alert: it didn’t work…) that I picked up last weekend at Woodfield Mall. I had never been before and it was massive and chock full of all my favorite shops (Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Banana Republic…literally every store you’d want to go to all in one spot!). I felt like I hadn’t been to a mall in years, so it was fun to spend the morning exploring stores for some pretty new spring styles. I had to hold myself back from buying an entirely new spring wardrobe, and left (relatively unscathed) with this pretty dress and a few gifts for friends and family. If you haven’t been to Woodfield yet, it’s definitely worth the trip – just plan to spend most of the day shopping because it’s so huge!   I’ve got a million things to knock out this week, so I’m going to keep today’s post short and sweet! I’m planning to get together with a friend for dinner tonight, welcome the new Royal Palms shuffleboard club to the neighborhood and of course, so a lot a lot of work. Hope you’re all looking forward to some fun things to carry you through the week too! xx
