My White Uniform for Spring

High Rise White Jeans ((Only $40!) I also love these straight leg ones for $30)) // Scallop Eyelet Top // Gucci Purse // Woven Sandals (sold out, but similar here!)

Happy Monday, party people! I hope you had a lovely Easter or Passover (or whatever else you celebrate) this past weekend. I was in Greenville, South Carolina because my parents just bought a house (!!!) and I spent the weekend exploring the city and taking LOTS of trips to Target. It’s good to know that if you’re 25 or 65, everyone needs to stop at Target a million times when moving to a new place.

Greenville us super cute, and I’m excited to have a little home away from home to visit whenever I’m tried of the Midwest winter, or just want to escape the hustle and bustle of Chicago. It’s a pretty small town, but there’s a bunch of delicious restaurants, biking and hiking trails, breweries, coffee shops and places to explore. Once they’re settled in and I’ve made a few more visits to the area, I’ll definitely be sharing some of my favorite places to check out in case you’re ever in Greenville too! Highlights of this trip included: dinner and brunch at The Anchorage (SO so yummy!), coffee at Due South and Methodical Coffee, dinner by the water downtown at the Lazy Goat, exploring the river walk, and of course….shopping at Target (just kidding…). I think I’ve done enough trip to Target and furniture stores for at least a few weeks, so if you have any questions about the current inventory, I’m your girl 😉In other news – can I get a hallelujah that it’s finally starting to be beautiful in Chicago?! It was actually warmer in Chicago this weekend than it was in Greenville, but things are starting to look like they’re on the up and up weather-wise in the Midwest. Here’s to hoping more white jean days are immediately in my future.

Speaking of…I bought these super affordable white button jeans from Old Navy that I love. I don’t know why, but for some reason I can’t rationalize buying expensive white jeans – maybe it’s because I only wear them a few times a year, but finding a super affordable pair of white jeans is my annual tradition, and this year this pair didn’t disappoint. I paired it with this super cute top I snagged from Alice and Wonder’s store in my neighborhood (my sweet friend Ali owns the shop and she picks out the CUTEST pieces – plus she’s an absolute gem of a human), and it’s the perfect cute and easy outfit for spring. Although, low key – these jeans are feeling a little tighter these days, so hopefully the warmer weather inspires me to get a little more exercise in than I did this winter – whoops! I hope you guys all have a fun week ahead of you – and you’re enjoying some springy weather too! I’m doing another quick trip to NYC for work (Tuesday – Friday morning) and then really looking forward to a weekend at home in Chicago after traveling the past few weekends. Work and life has been pretty crazy, and I need a weekend to kick up my feet, relax and enjoy some beautiful spring weather in Chicago – it sounds like heaven right about now!

Also, as a random fun fact about this shoot: when I was shooting this outfit with Hannah a few weeks ago, at least 3 people stopped us and asked if I was Jenni from Jenni’s ice cream (since the backdrop of these photos is their West Loop location that’s opening soon). I giggled and joked that if I was Jenni I would be a lot richer – but it was hilarious that so many people asked. Also, Jenni has much more magical pink hair, which makes her quite a bit cooler than I am 😉
