This post has been sponsored by Cetaphil®. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Raise your hand if you feel like you never have enough hours in the day to squeeze everything in. Yep, you and me both!
Between long days at work, running errands, and checking off my to-dos, it’s hard to feel like I’ve put some much-needed self-care time on my calendar (and I’m sure you can relate, too!). I teamed up with Cetaphil to share a few of my favorite ways to sneak a few minutes of self-care into your everyday, even if you’re always on the go like I usually am.
1. Don’t put off taking care of your skin – even when you’re on the go!
I am a big fan of sleeping in – especially when balancing late nights and early wake up calls for work. I used to not do the best job taking care of my skin (I tend to run out the door at the last minute!), so I’ve been packing lotion, my favorite skincare products and makeup to give myself a little TLC when I’m on the way to work or in-between meetings. I’ve been loving the Cetaphil® lotion I picked up from Target, and I’ve already seen a big difference in my skin since I started using it!
Through September 27th, you can save $2 on ONE Cetaphil® product at Target!
My favorite products are the Cetaphil® Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream that just came out earlier this year and the Cetaphil® Daily Hydrating Lotion for my everyday skincare needs. The eye cream is amazing to help brighten and smooth the under-eye area for a well-rested look, even on mornings when I haven’t exactly been well rested (for real though…). Plus, it absorbs quickly and keeps you hydrated for 24 hours! Their daily hydrating lotion is also a game-changer, and made with Hyaluronic Acid – a powerful moisturizing agent that helps with extra dry skin and retains up to 100x its weight in water – so yeah, it’s definitely hydrating 😉 Not to mention, it’s the #1 Dermatologist Recommended Facial Skincare Brand! I love Target’s beauty aisle, and you can find a variety of amazing Cetaphil® products – including my go-to lotions! 2. Find a little Zen in the middle of the day:
On days where I’m feeling rushed, I try to take a mid-day break by finding a little Zen break in my day. Whether it’s closing my eyes on the train and meditating using an app on my phone, or taking a walk around my office floor when I can’t get away from meetings – a few minutes away makes a big difference to help me get through the workday.
3. Take small actions every day to make a big difference:
Little indulgences like aromatherapy to de-stress or energize in the middle of the day, or a little treat (okay, or a big treat…) can be the perfect pick-me-up to keep yourself going throughout the day. I keep orange and lavender essential oils by my desk at work – and usually treat myself to a little piece of chocolate or something sweet during that 3PM afternoon crash.
4. Schedule a weekly date with yourself:
I used to be really bad at doing things alone. Slowly but surely, I’ve been getting better at spending time doing things on my own that I love. Once a week, I try to set a date with myself – whether it’s seeing a movie, going shopping after work, or making time to go to a yoga class, a little time to myself has made me feel more balanced and refreshed.
Any tips you have for adding a little more self-care into your daily routine? I’d love to know the little ways you help yourself feel a little more grounded and balanced!
