White Peplum Top {love this similar one here} // J. Brand Skinny Jeans // Silver Loafers {love these here too} // Monica Vinader Bracelet

Can I get a hell yeah for 4 day weeks – because while it’s a little extra crazy at week we’re just a few days away from the weekend {woot woot!} It’s been a little more hectic than usual planning for some big campaigns at work, so I’m already ready for another mini-vacation sometime soon. Speaking of which, I’m still thinking about my weekend in Kansas City a few weeks back with some of my favorite blogger friends, which included exploring around the city, shopping around town and eat waaaaaaay too much delicious food. That’s what perfect vacations are meant for, right?!

When it comes to packing for vacations – I’m usually a “panic” packer, which means stuffing all my clothes in my suitcase a few hours before my plane leaves, or at best right before I fall asleep the night before. It usually means I leave the most important things at home and find myself with a weeks worth of mismatched outfits. But this time, knowing I was going to be on a trip full of stylish bloggers, I had to somewhat appear like I had my shit together 😉 I picked up this lacey top at J.Crew a few weeks back and I immediately knew it would be the perfect, easy top for traveling. It was on sale, which made it even better to buy before the end of the summer season to pair with jeans {my go-to’s for traveling, always!} and paired under sweaters or light jackets for fall. I wore this easy outfit two days in a row {something I’m sure I’m not supposed to admit, whoops!}, but I loved it so much and it was perfect for the scorching Kansas City weather. From exploring the farmer’s market, to exploring breweries and eating way too much BBQ, this little outfit was the perfect look for exploring one of my new favorite cities. I’m already looking forward to wearing this same outfit when I travel to Barcelona in October soon!  In other news, who’s ready for the weekend? I’m already excited to kick back and relax this weekend. My parents are coming to town and we’re planning to go out to dinner at Honey’s {which I’ve heard amazing things about since it opened a few months ago}, finally see the Blue Man Group, and attempt to clean my apartment while catching up on projects. You know, the usual kind of weekend 😉 Hope you’re all looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend too! xx

A big thanks to our friends at Visit KC for sponsoring this post and being the best tour guides we could have asked for! As always, all opinions are my own!

I love this top, Maya! So adorable for wearing from season to season. I also spy Kaldi’s coffee in the background! That used to be my go-to spot when I was in school at Mizzou. I miss it so much!
