Thanks to American Greetings for sponsoring this post! As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own - thanks for supporting the brands that make Charmingly Styled possible! I'll be honest, I used to think Easter was pretty much all about candy, but while I'm excited about Easter candy this year {especially those Robin's Eggs, mmm....} I'm also incredibly excited to get together and spend some quality time with my family back in Madison this year. I'm lucky enough to have the majority of my family in the same city, so during holidays like Easter we bounce back and forth from house to house, celebrating the holidays with a feast and some quality catch-up time.
And while I'd be lying if I said that I didn't miss Easter baskets and peeps as an "adult" {notice the quotation marks...}, the best part of any holiday is the time spent with family and friends. This year, I'm trying to be a little more thoughtful than I've been in the past, especially since I know how hard it can be planning for big events like holidays and family dinners. Considering I can barely make mac & cheese, cooking a Easter ham or elaborate feast would definitely put me over the edge 😉
So to give my family some much needed TLC, I thought it would be fun to put together a few thoughtful hostess gifts for my mom and aunts putting together our Easter celebrations this year - because nothing says thank you like a sweet card and a gift that's perfect just for them. I love swinging by the Target card aisle to find the perfect card for family and friends for any occasion, and their Easter section is chock full with the sweetest {and funniest} cards for anyone you're celebrating with.
My mom has become a pretty great chef over the years, but like me, I know that cooking for a party completely stresses her out, so I thought the perfect little Easter gift would be a cute matching set of kitchen accessories that go together perfectly with a cute Easter card from Target. Since she's always the hostess with the mostess when it comes to the holidays, so rewarding all her hard work with a fresh set of tea towels and kitchen goodies is the perfect way to put a smile on her face. My aunt also loves to cook up a storm during the holidays, but to mix things up I decided to build my own little gift basket so she can enjoy some TLC after entertaining our pretty rambunctious family for Easter weekend. From a revitalizing moisturizer to masks, candles and perfume, putting together a few of my favorite beauty and self-care products paired with a thoughtful card makes for the perfect Easter gift. Plus, beauty products are kinda like the adult version of Easter candy right?! Throw in some robbin's egg chocolates and you'll really impress your family and friends 😉 So while it's tempting to buy some jelly beans and chocolates, consider mixing things up with a sweet hostess gift and the perfect thoughtful note from Target's card section - and there's even an exclusive coupon on Target's Cartwheel app here! Believe me, you'll get major family brownie points, and you'll totally make their day with a card so cute they'll hold onto it! <3
So sweet! I love sending cards. Most of my family lives close by, but I do have a brother out of state. I always send him cards every holiday (just mailed a St. Patrick’s Day card to him earlier this week) just to say hey and let him know I’m thinking of him. We usually send cards at Christmas, but it’s a good idea at Easter too. 🙂
You are the best sister ever! I can’t believe you even send him St. Paddy’s day cards – please tell me if you’re looking to adopt a sibling 😉 xx
Haha- yes! I only have brothers, so I’m definitely open to adopting a sister! 🙂
