Happy happy Monday, friends! I know, most Monday’s aren’t that exciting usually, but I’m actually looking forward to the week ahead {mostly for the fun parts of it, and not so much the work part of it!}. Between going to TimeOut’s Bar Awards tonight, planning an epic date night with Mitch and Kelly, and catching up on life in between between, I’m pretty excited to get this week started.

I’m also planning to share a few posts about my trip to Austin over memorial day with my sweet friend Evalyn this week on the blog too! We were both in need of a little getaway from Chicago, and spending 4 days in Austin was exactly what the doctor ordered. We spent our days walking all over the city, lounging pool side {please note those sunburned shoulders…}, eating every type of taco we could and drinking our way through Austin one cocktail at a time. Clearly, it had everything you could ever need in a vacation, and I can’t recommend it enough!Charmingly-Styled-Austin (52 of 79) One of my favorite areas of the city was South Congress street, which was the neighborhood we rented our Air BnB in {we kinda were winging the whole trip, so it actually turned out to be the perfect area to stay!}. South Congress is home to iconic stores and restaurants like Allen’s Shoes and South Congress Cafe, but there are so many other adorable stores, coffee shops, food trucks and more that make the neighborhood one of the most fun places to explore in the city.

One of our favorite places to go throughout the trip was the South Congress Hotel, a swanky hipster paradise full of delicious restaurants {I loved Café No Se and Mañana Coffee Shop}, cool shops and the most beautiful decor. Evalyn {being the trooper of a friend that she is!} snapped a few photos of me in this pretty new Asos dress on our last day since I was so in love with the space. Charmingly-Styled-Austin (56 of 79) Charmingly-Styled-Austin (62 of 79) Charmingly-Styled-Austin (60 of 79)Charmingly-Styled-Austin (55 of 79)I seriously can’t get enough of this off the shoulder trend, so when I spotted Lauren wearing this dress a few weeks back, I knew I had to make it my own too! It’s super flattering {and not see through like so many white dresses can be!} and the shoulders miraculously stay down unlike most of my other off the shoulder favorites. Best of all, I scored it for under $50, so I didn’t have to feel too guilty about buying yet another dress. The heart wants what the heart wants…Charmingly-Styled-Austin (65 of 79) Charmingly-Styled-Austin (69 of 79)Charmingly-Styled-Austin (70 of 79)I’m looking forward to sharing my Austin guide in the coming days and hopefully inspire you to plan a trip out there this summer! It was one of the most amazing cities I’ve visited in the U.S., and I’m already scheming about when I can go back. xx
