I loved Austin so much, I couldn’t keep all my fangirl photos to just one post!
Last week I shared a few of my favorite places to eat and drink in Austin {because we definitely did a whole lot of that!}, and this week I wanted to share my favorite places to shop and see in Austin. I tried to stay on a little shopping hiatus, I did manage to snag a few goodies from some of the stores below!
Known as one of the most iconic stores in Austin, this gigantic store is filled to the brim with the most incredible, intricate cowboy boots. I’ve never needed cowboy boots, but after walking around and seeing about 500 pairs, I was a little tempted to drop $400 on a turquoise pair of my own {thankfully, I resisted the urge…}. Even if you’re not a fan of cowboy boots, definitely stop by to be amazed by how many cowboy boots can fit in one store.
Obviously I had to go in for the name alone, but this little stop off South Congress also has adorable clothes, accessories and…these adorable dinosaur planters I can’t get enough of! Right down the street is another fabulous antique store, Uncommon Objects which is another fabulously curated store that’s worth the trip alone!
Weekend Pop Ups:
Next to Jo’s Coffee there’s always cute weekend pop-up shops, air streams and booths that magically appear on the weekends. From necklaces to woven rugs to clothes, there are so many hidden gems that are fun to discover while walking up and down South Congress and downtown.
One of our favorite spots that we frequented almost every day was By George, a women’s + men’s clothing store with the cutest accessories and home decor {pictured a the top of this post too}. Besides having beautiful pieces, many of them handmade in Austin, we met the friendliest store associate from Chicago who gave us the best advice for places to visit in Austin.
While I’m not usually one to love a motorcycle shop, this place gets big points for their awesome selection of guys clothes and cool vintage bikes. From cool books, to motorcycle gear to vintage t-shirts, this place is perfect to pick up something for your guy {or to win major brownie points for taking your main squeeze there!}Have any other suggestions of places you loved to shop at in Austin? I’d love some suggestions for the next time I make it down to visit! xx
