Charming Beauty: Era Organics

If you’ve been following along with Charmingly Styled for awhile now, you know that I’m a huge fan of discovering new beauty brands and products. And since I’m constantly trying new products out, I figured it would be fitting to start a new series where I share one of my favorite new beauty brands! To kick things off, I’m sharing my love of Era Organics products – an new brand I discovered a few weeks back that has already done wonders for my skin. But really…you’re going to want to try these products STAT.

Last fall, I had a little scare {okay, a big scare} when it came to my skin. It’s a little hilarious to think of it now, but at the time I was pretty petrified. Let me set the scene…

I had just started dating my boyfriend Tom last summer, and we were in that cute “getting to know you” phase of our relationship – you know, the time where you’re super self conscious, but trying to play it cool all the time to convince them that you’re not a loser {he found out later, don’t you worry!}. Of course during this time, my skin started to go a little crazy on me in a way it never had before. Every morning when I would wake up, my legs and arms would be covered in little raised bumps that were itchy and dry and really, really gross. As I tried to play it cool, I kept my weird skin hidden from Tom for a week or so, sitting on my hands at dinner trying not to itch my legs that were slowly driving me crazy.  But eventually, I gave up and showed him why my skin was driving me crazy – and he proceeded to tell me that he thought I had bed bugs, or scabies and I needed to go to the doctor stat.

Of course I was mortified, but if you live in a big city bed bugs or scabies are kinda a thing. I’m constantly hearing that there’s bed bugs or lice on the red line train, so I wouldn’t have been surprised {although seriously grossed out} so I took my booty to the doctor at urgent care, who told me to go to a dermatologist to see if it was bed bugs or an allergic reaction. Cue the immense fear and worst case scenarios going through my head…

After some tests, stressful appointments and the thought that I was probably going to die {I’m a little dramatic sometimes…} it turned out I had eczema from allergies and I could breathe a sigh of relief once again. And while this skin condition wasn’t even close to as bad as having bed bugs or scabies, finding a product that calmed my rough and itchy skin was a struggle – so when I recently discovered Era Organics products, it was like finding the holy grail of skincare products. Although my allergies eventually cleared up last summer, spring in Chicago is another lovely time for allergies and my eczema to start back up. As my skin has been dry and itchy lately, I’ve been using Era Organics Relief Lotion made with aloe vera and Manuka honey to give my damaged skin some seriously advanced healing. It’s so thing for anyone who has eczema, psoriasis, rosacea or dermatitis, or if you are just one of the lucky few who were born with seriously dry skin. I’ve been slathering it on in the morning and night, and I’ve seen it to wonders to my skin – and I’m itch free!Era Organics also has an amazing Revive Mask and Scrub made with Manuka honey and walnuts that gives you anti-aging and rejuvenating benefits. Plus if you use it as a mask a few days a week, it removes blackheads and correct dark spots, while leaving your skin feeling baby soft. I’ve been using it every Sunday and half way through the work week to give my skin a much needed pick-me-up, and I’ve seen a huge difference in how my skin feels and looks.

I’ve also swapped out my usual boring bar soap for Era’s Cleanse and Restore face and body cleanser that’s created to perfectly balance your skins natural biology. I love that it cleanses, soothes and restores the natural balance of your skin while using all natural ingredients {and without testing on cute animals!}. My skin feels so much smoother and I feel better knowing that I’m using only the best, organic ingredients on my skin.  Okay, enough rambling from me over here! But really, you need to give these products a try, especially if you also have eczema or any other pesky dry skin conditions. I feel so much better knowing that when my allergies hit me full force, I’ll have the right {and organic} lotion from Era Organics to calm my sensitive skin! xx

This is too funny because I’ve convinced myself of the same thing! Turns out it was just really bad mosquito bites! LOL But this line sounds amazing and the cleanse and restore body cleanser seems divine! Thanks for sharing!
