Parisian Inspired

 White Off The Shoulder Top {other pretty ones here and here} // Skinny Jeans // Neck Scarf {similar floral one here} // Valentino Purse {sold out but similar here and here}  // D’Orsay Flats {on sale!}

There’s always a little part of me {okay, fine – a big part of me} that is dreaming of Paris, and that longing follows along in more ways than I would have ever expected it. From spraying on the perfume I picked up when I took a family trip there many years ago, to always gravitating towards stripes and D’orsay flats – I’m always dreaming of Paris, whether I realize it or not.

And as the days have gotten closer to summer, I have even more of a desire to pack my bags and escape to France, drinking bubbly on a patio, stuff my face with cheese and baguettes, and explore the neighborhoods that make Paris so gorgeous and charming. I used to have this dream that someday {sigh}, I would quit my day job and move to Paris for 6 months, learning beauty secrets, embracing my inner Julia Child, and photographing my adventures on a daily basis. But then life kinda got in the way of daydreaming, so we’ll see if it really ever comes to fruition {I’m still crossing my fingers that it does!} So in the meantime while I’m slummin’ it in Chicago {KIDDING, I still love it here!}} I still like to embrace my inner Parisian with the perfect D’Orsay heels, a chic off the shoulder white top and a neck scarf that I scooped up from Target for a steal a few months back. And while I still might not be in Paris this time of year, I’m a baguette and a picnic away from faking it in Lincoln Park. And who knows, there’s always a chance that I’ll plan a crazy impromptu trip to make all my Paris loving dreams come true. Stranger things have happened 😉  Have any upcoming trips you’re extra excited about in the coming months? If you happen to be looking at Paris and need one more person, holler at your girl 😉 But seriously, everyone needs a trip to look forward to, so I hope you’re planning something this summer – whether it’s to a new city close by or a big world adventure. If you happen to have something coming up, I’d love to live vicariously though you! xx

    Girl, do it! I’m always inspired by your travels and all your dreams for future trips. You’d totally look like you live in Paris full time with this look! 🙂 We are thinking of heading to Siesta Key for our anniversary in October, but I’m hoping we can sneak away somewhere sooner.

      Yes! I have such a pro-vacation agenda, it’s not even funny. One day I would love to take a year off and just spend time exploring Europe – it’s important to have dreams, haha. But that sounds like the perfect anniversary trip! So nice and warm in October 🙂 xx
