Can you beleive it’s already December?! I don’t know how time has completely flown by, but it’s now officially the holiday season and I couldn’t be more excited. To be honest, I’m usually not super enthusiastic about the holidays, but this year I’m embracing the season a little bit more than usual. Who knows, I might even put my mini Christmas tree up this year and listen to some Christmas music to officially kick the month off! charmingly_styled-33-of-36 charmingly_styled-34-of-36Now that it’s actually winter, I’ve been embracing everything cozy in my closet – from oversized sweaters, to giant scarves and one of my favorite accessories – capes. I impulsively bought this cape last fall while on a trip to Portugal with my parents, and it’s been one of my favorite pieces of outerwear during the not-so-freezing fall and winter days. I used to think that capes were just for hippie old ladies {don’t judge, lots of ladies in my neighborhood where I grew up in Madison rocked brightly colored capes like nobody’s business}, so I wasn’t quite sure if it was a look I could actually pull off. Lucky for me, it’s become one of my favorite, classic pieces that I wear again and again – and it’s perfect paired with a chunky sweater or a long sleeve shirt. And I might feel a little bit like a superhero in it, but that’s actually pretty okay by me. Sometimes we all need a little superhero boost, especially during the holiday season! charmingly_styled-35-of-36 charmingly_styled-30-of-36charmingly_styled-36-of-36Have any surprise pieces in your closet that you’ve found yourself wearing on repeat this season? This cape is definitely an unexpected favorite {and a total steal at Zara too!}. xx
