Oh heyyyyyyy Friday! You’re looking real nice today – and I’m very happy you’re here! I took the day off to work on a little project with my ladies Claire of Centered by Design, Erin of Relativity Textiles, and photographer Aimee Mazzenga for a little bedroom renovation I’ve been working on over the last few weeks! For the longest time by bedroom was where all my mismatched furniture lived, and now it’s by far one of my favorite rooms in my home! Amazing what a fresh coat of paint, some beautiful pieces and a little wallpaper can do 😉

As for the rest of the weekend, I’m headed home to Madison to spend time with my family and go on a few adventures with friends and Tom. Madison is so magical in the summer, and I’m looking forward to swinging by a few of my favorite restaurants, Collectivo for a latte, hitting the farmer’s market on Saturday morning and taking some time to relax. Another one of my favorite new traditions back home is making cocktails with my dad. Although I have to give him quite a bit of the credit – he’s the cocktail master and I’m mostly his young grasshopper who styled and shoots it afterwords. Dads, they’re the best – right?

In other news, I’ve been on a little shopping kick the last few days – which although it doesn’t happen often, it comes in full force when it does. Between a few “I’ll just browse” trips to Anthropologie and some online J.Crew shopping {gah!}, I’ve been having quite a field day adding a few new essentials to my closet. Hey, when the mood strikes sometimes you just have to go for it – especially after taking a shopping hiatus for a few months.

Here are a few things I’m currently craving – talk me out of them please? My bank account will thank you!

1. Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm: One of my new favorite skincare products happens to be ah-mah-zing at removing makeup and keeping my skin perfectly cleasned all summer long. Bonus points, it smells amazing! Planning to buy this guy in bulk next time I need a refill.  // 2. J.Crew Glitter heels: Because the combination of blush and glitter just can’t be beat! I love that these heels aren’t too high, making them perfect for work all late summer and fall.  // 3. Tassel Earrings: I’m pretty sure I’ve never met a tassel I didn’t love, and these beaded earrings from J.Crew are no exception. // 4. The Library of Candlefish Candle: I discovered the Library of Candlefish at one of my recent stops to Anthropologie and I love all their scents and their gorgeous candles. I bought one for my coffee table and I’m planning on using it until the very last drop of wax. // 5. Loeffler Randall Leopard Clutch: I’ve been dreaming of a leopard clutch ever since I had my eye on the Clare Vivier version a few seasons back, but this Loeffler Randall one might be my new favorite. The combination of the leather tassels plus the calf hair is drop dead gorgeous, and I’m trying to resist the urge to buy it on the spot. I’ll check back and let you know how that goes… // 6. J.Crew Ruffle Shirt: I have a similar shirt in navy, but I probably need one in cobalt too, right? // 7.Bluebell Grey Pillow: I discovered Bluebell Grey a few months back and fell in love with their pillow and dreamy blankets {which are now my two favorite accessories on my couch!}. I probably need the donut…and the taco…and the crying launching emoji one too 😉
